Trump Sets a Very Specific Deadline for Hamas to Accept Peace Deal

This morning President Trump clarified his deadline for Hamas to accept the peace deal with Israel. In a post on Truth Social he spelled out their choices.

He starts by saying that he is the only thing standing between them and complete destruction.

Hamas has been a ruthless and violent threat, for many years, in the Middle East! They have killed (and made lives unbearably miserable), culminating with the October 7th MASSACRE, in Israel, babies, woman, children, old people, and many young men and women, boys and girls, getting ready to celebrate their future lives together. As retribution for the October 7th attack on civilization, more than 25,000 Hamas “soldiers” have already been killed. Most of the rest are surrounded and MILITARILY TRAPPED, just waiting for me to give the word, “GO,” for their lives to be quickly extinguished. As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed.

He then explains that if Hamas rejects the deal, they will be completely alone. One way or another peace is going to happen.

I am asking that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potentially great future death for safer parts of Gaza. Everyone will be well cared for by those that are waiting to help. Fortunately for Hamas, however, they will be given one last chance! Great, powerful, and very rich Nations of the Middle East, and the surrounding areas beyond, together with the United States of America, have agreed, with Israel signing on, to PEACE, after 3000 years, in the Middle East. THIS DEAL ALSO SPARES THE LIVES OF ALL REMAINING HAMAS FIGHTERS! The details of the document are known to the WORLD, and it is a great one for ALL! We will have PEACE in the Middle East one way or the other. The violence and bloodshed will stop. RELEASES THE HOSTAGES, ALL OF THEM, INCLUDING THE BODIES OF THOSE THAT ARE DEAD, NOW!

And finally the deadline, which is this Sunday, Washington, DC time. Trump again emphasizes this is Hamas’ last chance.

An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every Country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

That works out to 1 am Monday morning Jerusalem time.

It’s still looking likely that Hamas is going to reject the deal. That’s what the BBC has been hearing all week.

Arab and Turkish mediators are understood to be pressing Hamas for a positive response to the proposal, but a senior Hamas figure has said the armed group is likely to reject it…

Mediators have made contact with the head of Hamas’s military wing in Gaza, who has indicated he does not agree to the new US ceasefire plan, the BBC understands.

It is thought that some of Hamas’s political leadership in Qatar are open to accepting it with adjustments – but have found their influence limited as they do not have control of the hostages held by the group.

And that tracks with this more detailed report from the NY Post yesterday.

Ezz al-Din al-Hadad, who helped plan the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack, slammed Trump’s 20-point peace deal as a way to eliminate Hamas without achieving any of its goals, the BBC reported.

The terror chief, who holds the fate of the 48 hostages in his hands, called on negotiators in Qatar to reject the deal, reportedly telling the team that he plans to continue the war with Israel…

Along with al-Hadad, Palestinian Islamic Jihad — a fellow terror group that helped conduct the Oct. 7 attack and kidnappings — has also rejected the plan, with members of the terror groups claiming the deal only “serves Israeli interests.”

I think this was always the case but at least President Trump’s peace plan clarifies that for the world. Either there is no genocide in Gaza or Hamas supports a genocide in Gaza. Either option put the lie to most of the pro-Hamas propaganda coming from their supporters in the US and Europe.

By rejecting peace, Hamas makes it very clear that Israel can never make peace with them. Hamas are dead enders. Killing them is going to be the only way to stop them from killing Israelis in the future. Israel should wait out the deadline and then get back to killing them as quickly as possible.
