X Users Compete to Come Up With Title for Joe Biden’s $10 Million Memoir

I don’t recall the announcement that apparently came out last July about Joe Biden’s book deal, in which he sold the rights to publish his ghostwritten lies for a reported $10 million. 

Either it was softpedaled, or I just didn’t care enough to notice. But in the wake of Kamala Harris’ apparent success with her own memoir, for which she was reportedly paid TWICE as much (see the value that even the modest potential for a future political career, or at least influence, has?), there is suddenly a lot of discussion on X about potential titles. 

And the title will perhaps be the only thing people read from the book, aside from true political junkies or commentators searching for the most outrageous lies. The Obamas got over $60 million for their memoirs post-presidency, and Hillary Clinton has made millions from her three–count ’em three!– memoirs, and gets millions more to speak. Her second memoir netted her a reported $14 million advance in 2014, but 10 years later, Joe Biden, former president, gets much less, especially when inflation is factored in. 

Having Kamala Harris make twice as much as him must sting, but at least a lot of humor is provided to the rest of us.

There is ample room to make fun of Biden, and people are taking the opportunity with gusto.

Joe Biden has been terrible for the country, but will provide ample material for humorists–unfortunately, only those on the right, since comedy is dead left of center.

The fact that, of course, his “memoir” will be ghostwritten provides more grist for the mill. Biden, after all, was replaced by an autopen at some point in his presidency, and his memoir will be a product of the same process.

Biden, who we were told in 2024 was George Washington and Cincinnatus reborn, with a bit of FDR and LBJ thrown in, is getting tossed on the trash heap, and with good reason: he was worse than Jimmy Carter, and had the character of a Cobra.

Grok came up with a few good potential names I thought I would share, as well. 

There are hundreds of others out there, mostly variations on the predictable themes.

The political memoir is, to at least some extent, a gift that the Establishment hands off to its useful tools. For those with a potential future, like Hillary Clinton, or those who will retain influence, like Clinton, Harris, or the Obamas, the payout will be huge. As you can see, Biden’s star is falling, and the modest payout by these standards is notable. 

When a former president gets less than his failure of a Vice President, it tells you why any money is paid for these books at all: to prop up powerful people when they may still be useful. Joe Biden gets some help to ensure he keeps his mouth quiet about the worst secrets he has on others, but nobody thinks he will be useful going forward. 

Joe and his family should have kept more of that graft money from when Joe was on the rise, but it was all spent on hookers and blow, and ten million is not enough to keep the family in the style to which they have become accustomed.
