All Lies, All the Time…

One of the greatest things about being Democrats and Pravda Media liars is that you don’t have to keep your story straight. 

As we grow up, we learn a lot about lying and why doing so is a bad idea. Of course, we are told that it is wrong, but as a practical matter, this in itself is rarely an obstacle to people inclined to lie, right? They are liars, so the ethical nuances are not exactly top of mind for them. 

And, frankly, children take a while to learn moral lessons, so adults also emphasize a practical reason not to lie: the more you lie, the harder it is to keep your story straight. And over time, when you are discovered to be a serial liar, people learn not to trust you. It is really hard to be a great liar–con men can do it, but for most of us, honesty is the best policy for even purely practical grounds. We are just not good enough to pull it off and keep all the stories straight. 

But then again, if you have the people who define reality in your back pocket, you don’t HAVE to keep your story straight. You can lie with abandon–even change your story regularly–and what is “true” changes with your whim. 

I first got to thinking about this while watching a passionate, and completely false, speech by Gavin Newsom about how Trump and the Republicans abandoned California after the Palisades fire. You know, that fire caused by climate change, we were all told. Well, now that Climate Change has been identified and arrested, Newsom is very passionate about how the federal government hasn’t sent a dime of help to California. It was very Gavin Newsom, all fake passion, hair gel, and capped teeth. 

It’s been over 9 months since the Palisades and Eaton Fires tore through Los Angeles. We asked for federal support, but we haven’t heard a word from the White House.

The claim is complete horse excrement, of course. There is no accounting of the totals because the money is still flowing, obviously, and we are talking about the federal government here, but I did a little bit of poking around, and in the first quarter of the year, billions had already flowed from the federal government to Californians in distress. 

Not that it matters, of course. Pravda packages what he says in nice bites, just as they sold the “climate change” lies. Because, well, Democrats get to say whatever they want and have it get amplified. 

But Newsom’s lie is nothing compared to the whoppers being told about health care for illegal immigrants, which is built on the whole “Affordable Care Act” set of lies. Remember how the ACA was all about “affordability?” Now the Democrats are rightfully complaining about health care costs that they voted to make astronomical (I remember the first time we had to pay our premiums after the ACA kicked in, and our costs went up about 500% in two years!), and claiming that they don’t want to give health care to illegal immigrants. 

The ACA was built on lies promoted by the media, and the media is now claiming that Democrats haven’t been fighting to ensure illegal aliens health care.

In 2023, NBC reported that 25% of all patients at New York City public hospitals were illegal aliens.

Today, NBC reports that illegal aliens do not receive free healthcare.

NBC and Pravda as a whole are disputing that illegal aliens get health care, and asserting that it’s all Republican lies. Democrats don’t want to do that! Where could you get the idea? Democrats would never fight for that!

It’s lies! Lies, I tell you! Lies!

Yeah, well, facts don’t matter when you have the people who control the flow of information doing your dirty work for you. You, or they, can say whatever, whenever, and it becomes accepted reality by a vast number of people–enough to swing elections, often enough. 

Zohran Mamdani can quote Marx, talk about “seizing the means of production” and eliminating private property, and PolitiFact will say it is a lie that he is a communist. They justified it by noting that he is not running on a platform that is explicitly communist. So there.

Biden is sharp as a tack. The border is secure. The Steele Dossier is real. The Hunter Biden laptop is not. The COVID vaccine is 100% effective. Children are resilient. All true, until they are not. And the previous claims evaporate and are forgotten. Not forgiven, because there is no admission of error. 

It’s just that the truth has changed. It was that, it is now this. 

Believe. 

What is infuriating is not only that they are liars–although that IS infuriating–but that they get away with it because they control the flow of information. Gavin Newsom can lie all day, every day, and the media treats him as a legitimate candidate for president. James Comey, John Brennan, Peter Strzok, and James Clapper can all lie–commit perjury–before Congress and become commentators on cable news channels, treated as if they were credible sources. 

Authorities! Experts! Proven liars, and it doesn’t matter. Because the media decides what reality is.
