President Donald Trump on Sunday issued a new statement on Truth Social calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice to “DO SOMETHING” following reports that 274 FBI agents were present and undercover among the crowd at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Trump’s message came shortly before his scheduled trip to the Middle East and followed revelations that former FBI Director Chris Wray allegedly misled Congress when he testified that he was unaware of any undercover FBI personnel operating at the event.

The report, which surfaced over the weekend, has fueled renewed questions about the scope of the FBI’s involvement during the January 6 protest and the accuracy of statements made under oath by senior bureau officials.

“Chris Wray lied to the American public,” Trump wrote in his post. “He set up good American patriots who attended the January 6 protest and then sat silent as the Biden DOJ ruined their lives.”

The development has prompted Trump to again urge Attorney General Bondi to take decisive action against what he described as long-standing “deep state corruption” within federal law enforcement.

This is not the first time Trump has publicly pressed Bondi to act. In a previous Truth Social post in late September, the President referenced multiple reports from conservative commentators criticizing Bondi for being “all talk, no action” regarding the prosecution of key Democrat figures.

Trump specifically mentioned James Comey, Adam Schiff, and Letitia James as individuals who, he said, have faced little accountability despite allegations of misconduct.

He also cited the controversy surrounding Erik Siebert, a U.S. Attorney from the Eastern District of Virginia, who came under scrutiny for not pursuing charges against New York Attorney General Letitia James before being dismissed from his post.

“Pam Bondi needs to act,” Trump wrote in his latest post. “She cannot continue to run out the clock and allow there to be no consequences for the lawlessness of the Deep State operatives who hoped to take down the sitting president and destroy our country in the process.”

The President concluded his statement with a direct message to the Attorney General: “DO SOMETHING!”

Bondi, appointed by Trump as Attorney General of the United States, has not publicly responded to the President’s latest remarks. The Department of Justice has also declined to comment on the specific claims regarding the number of FBI agents reportedly embedded in the crowd on January 6.

The controversy adds new pressure on federal officials to provide clarity about the bureau’s actions that day and the role of undercover operatives in the events surrounding the Capitol breach.
