A food order mix-up led to a violent seven-person brawl inside a Whataburger restaurant in San Antonio, Texas, early Sunday morning, according to local authorities.

The San Antonio Police Department confirmed that officers were dispatched to the restaurant just after 3 a.m. following reports of a large fight that had broken out among several customers.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that a dispute over an incorrect order had escalated into a physical confrontation involving two groups of patrons.

A video of the incident, later shared widely on social media, shows multiple individuals engaged in separate fights throughout the restaurant.

Several people were seen punching, kicking, and tackling others to the ground as onlookers attempted to intervene.

Photos taken after the fight showed significant damage inside the restaurant, with blood visible on the floor and booths.

Police said that while the scene was chaotic, no serious injuries were reported.

Authorities identified seven individuals arrested in connection with the fight: Andres Garcia Cardenas, 21; Tyrone Tolliver, 21; Miguel Torres, 57; Meili Torres, 21; Andrew Lopez, 21; Deontae Tolliver, 23; and Veronica Valdez, 53.

Police also said that two 18-year-olds and two 20-year-olds were involved in one of the groups, though their names were not released.

A woman named Rebecca Noel, who identified herself as the mother of one of the individuals involved, posted on Facebook that the altercation began after a Whataburger staff member mistakenly gave her son’s group another customer’s food.

“Part of another table’s order was mistakenly brought to my son and his friends. Instead of the staff acknowledging their error, they reportedly told the other customers, ‘They have your food,’” Noel wrote.

She said that moments later, those customers confronted her son’s group, and the situation quickly escalated.

“Moments later, those individuals confronted my son and his friends, and within seconds, the situation escalated far beyond a simple misunderstanding — to a violent assault,” she said in her post.

“There is absolutely no excuse for what happened. This never should have escalated to this point,” Noel added.

Police have not confirmed Noel’s full account but stated that her video and social media post are part of their ongoing investigation. Investigators are reviewing footage and interviewing witnesses to determine exactly how the confrontation began.

A spokesperson for the San Antonio Police Department told KSAT that responding officers were able to separate the individuals involved and restore order at the scene.

Each of the suspects faces charges related to disorderly conduct and assault.

Whataburger has not issued a public statement regarding the incident as of Wednesday.

Employees at the location were interviewed by police following the altercation, and the restaurant was temporarily closed for cleanup and to collect evidence.

Authorities said the investigation remains active and additional charges could be filed depending on the outcome of the review.

Police are also asking anyone with additional video of the incident to contact the San Antonio Police Department.

The early-morning brawl is one of several large-scale altercations at late-night restaurants reported in Texas this year.

Law enforcement officials said that increased patrols are being considered for high-traffic hours in certain San Antonio areas to prevent similar incidents.
