Marjorie Taylor Greene Fires Back at AOC Over ‘Revenge Tour’ Claims [WATCH]

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene pushed back Wednesday night against Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s claim that she is on a “revenge tour” against President Donald Trump, calling the New York Democrat “jealous” and dismissing her remarks as political gossip, as reported by The New York Post.

The Georgia congresswoman appeared on NewsNation’s The Hill to address Ocasio-Cortez’s recent comments, which she made during an Instagram livestream earlier this month.

In that video, Ocasio-Cortez claimed Greene’s recent media appearances — including on ABC’s The View — were part of a backlash effort after “Trump Land” allegedly prevented her from running for Senate in Georgia.

“[Greene] wanted to run for Senate earlier this year in the state of Georgia,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Trump said no, and the White House and Trump Land shut down Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal ambitions to run for Senate, and she has been on a revenge tour ever since.”

Greene strongly denied that accusation. “Sounds like she’s best friends with Laura Loomer, too, because that’s the same thing Laura Loomer said,” Greene told host Blake Burman. “But it’s not true.”

Greene went on to say Ocasio-Cortez was “really jealous that I came into her home state, stomped around and actually had a great conversation with the ladies on The View.”

ABC’s The View is filmed in New York City, where Greene recently made a rare appearance for a MAGA-aligned lawmaker. “I don’t respect her very much,” Greene added.

“She’s never accomplished anything in life other than being a member of Congress, so I don’t really know what she has to offer other than gossip.”

Ocasio-Cortez, who has more than 9.5 million Instagram followers, had introduced her claim by saying she had “some tea” about Greene’s motivations.

Her comments came amid reports that Greene, a vocal ally of President Trump, had been weighing a Senate run before announcing on social media that she would not enter the race.

Republicans are expected to target Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff’s seat in the 2026 Georgia Senate race. Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican, confirmed earlier this year that he would not run.

Greene has recently appeared on several mainstream media programs — including CNN’s The Situation Room and HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher — as part of what she described as an effort to “have respectful conversations” with political opponents.

“Honestly, I’ve only seen a little pushback online,” Greene said. “People loved it from my district. I got all these text messages from my friends and family, and they loved it.”

Greene told The Hill she believes voters are tired of “political drama” and “toxic culture” in Washington. During her View appearance, she called for “women of maturity” to work together despite ideological divides.

Though some panelists praised Greene’s willingness to engage, she firmly rejected Joy Behar’s suggestion that she “should become a Democrat.” “I’m not a Democrat,” Greene said. “I think both parties have failed.”
