How Immigration Propaganda Works

There are hundreds of sob stories floating around the internet and the Pravda Media about how marauding ICE agents are treating innocent aliens and US citizens cruelly, just like the Gestapo agents that they are frequently compared to. 

No doubt there are some individual stories that are true, although I have no idea how many and to what extent somebody’s rights have been violated. But given that law enforcement officers are as imperfect as anybody else, and that they are operating in a highly conflictual environment where they are under constant threat, it would be a miracle if they didn’t occasionally cross the line. 

In such cases, the people affected should be compensated, as usually happens when law enforcement officers cross a line. 

But let’s face it: most of these stories are false, such as the claim that ICE raided a day care, rather than the reality that a criminal alien fled into a day care before being apprehended. 

Or this case, which has conveniently been spread across social media:

As usual, here’s the REAL story:

1. This was a targeted ICE arrest of a violent criminal illegal alien who, in August, repeatedly stabbed her coworker with scissors & then threw a trash can at her victim.

2. Emergency Medical Personnel on the scene found no legitimate medical episode—ICE called 911 and the illegal alien refused any medical care.

Juliana Milena Ojeda-Montoya, a criminal illegal alien from Ecuador was RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration in 2023. In August 2025, local police arrested this criminal illegal alien for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after she stabbed her co-worker twice with a pair of scissors and then threw a trash barrel at her. 

During ICE’s targeted vehicle stop of Ojeda-Montoya, her child and husband were in the car. The target threw the child into the arms of her husband while he purported to have a medical episode, though refused medical help and displayed absolutely no signs of medical concerns just moments later.

Agitators attempted to impede the arrest. Fitchburg police responded to the scene to help with crowd control.

The propaganda story is that agents tore a father away from his child while he was having a medical emergency. A poor, innocent man was treated cruelly for no other crime than being a peaceful man who crossed the border looking for a better life. Wouldn’t you do so, too, if you were living in poverty?

Uh, well, not so much, it turns out. It was the wife they were after, and she was a violent criminal who stabbed her coworker. And that medical emergency? 

It was faked. 

It’s the Pallywood strategy, in which performances are put on for the benefit of propaganda. Propaganda that activists eagerly put out and the media eagerly promotes. Because it works. There are millions of people who are horrified by what they see, and video images are so powerful that they can short-circuit the reasoning abilities of people. 

Especially when authoritative figures back them up with sympathetic narratives. 

It works. On millions of people. Individual anecdotes are much more powerful than generalized arguments.
