Jen Psaki Fact Checks Herself Live on Air on Her Own MSNBC Show [WATCH]

MSNBC host Jen Psaki corrected herself on Wednesday after appearing to describe President Donald Trump as a “predator” during an interview about newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents.

The exchange occurred while Psaki was speaking with Rep. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., about emails from Epstein that mentioned Trump.

During the discussion, Psaki said, “You’re talking about the other predators that are out there in addition to Trump,” before immediately stepping back from the remark.

She followed by saying, “Not that — I’m not saying he is. We don’t know all the details about that.” Psaki then clarified further, telling viewers, “I just mean, in addition to what we’ve learned about Epstein and others, there’s other predators out there.”

Garcia responded, “There are.”

The exchange came one day after Democratic members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released a large batch of documents related to Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in 2019.

The new release includes tens of thousands of pages of materials, among them emails referencing Trump.

One of the documents is a 2011 email written by Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell.

In it, Epstein referenced Trump and an individual whose name was redacted by Democratic lawmakers.

The email said the unnamed person had spent significant time at Epstein’s house with Trump.

According to the White House, the individual was Virginia Giuffre.

This is why the Democrats hid the name of the victim in the Epstein emails.

“I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. [VICTIM] spent hours at my house with him, has never once been mentioned,” Epstein wrote in the message.

“Virginia Giuffre had already testified that Donald Trump did nothing wrong.”

Democratic lawmakers, including Garcia, have pointed to the emails as evidence that Trump’s relationship with Epstein was closer than previously acknowledged.

During his interview with Psaki, Garcia claimed Trump was “hiding” details about Epstein-related matters from the public in order to shield individuals accused of abuse.

“We want to know the truth there. But there are powerful men right now walking free that have raped girls and that there have been no consequences. And it is outrageous that Donald Trump is hiding this, hiding the facts — that the Department of Justice is hiding the facts — and that Mike Johnson and Republicans are complicit in supporting what Donald Trump is doing,” Garcia said.

The White House rejected accusations made by Democratic lawmakers and said the email release was politically motivated.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement to Fox News Digital that “the Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.”

Leavitt also said the unnamed individual mentioned in the email was the late Virginia Giuffre and pointed to her past public comments clearing Trump of wrongdoing.

“The ‘unnamed victim’ referenced in these emails is the late Virginia Giuffre, who repeatedly said President Trump was not involved in any wrongdoing whatsoever and ‘couldn’t have been friendlier’ to her in their limited interactions,” she said.

Leavitt added that “the fact remains that President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his club decades ago for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre.”
