You Would Think Tennessee’s Special Election Was The One To Win It All

Democrats and Republicans are pouring millions of dollars into a race in Tennessee’s 7th congressional district. 

Voters cast their ballots in the special election Dec. 2. Republican former state Department of General Services Commissioner Matt Van Epps is up against Democratic state Rep. Aftyn Behn. In the GOP’s corner: President Donald Trump won about 60% of the district’s vote in 2024’s presidential election. In the Democrats’ corner: Sweeping election victories in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City in November.
