Tim Walz: Minnesota Is at ‘War’ With the Federal Government, Calls Out National Guard; More Violence?

Well, that escalated quickly. According to Tim Walz, Minnesota is at war with the federal government. He is calling out the Minnesota National Guard to protect Minnesotans against “rogue federal agents.”

Uh, wut? 

Yesterday, Tim Walz declared Minnesota is at “war against the federal government.”

Again today, he called it “war with our federal government.”

Even before the video came out that almost certainly showed that the woman who was unfortunately killed had surged her car and actually struck the federal agent who shot her, Minnesota’s politicians ramped up the rhetoric, calling it murder and demanding that the federal government remove its law enforcement agents from the state. 

Holy shit…

Governor Walz just said he is deploying the Minnesota National Guard to protect Minnesotans from “rogue federal agents”, meaning ICE.

This is EXTREMELY dangerous stuff.

From everything I can see, Walz and Frey have been egging on the confrontations to distract from the disastrous fraud investigations and have been cooperating with the very people who have been assaulting officers and impeding operations. Mayor Frey, just the other day, threatened violence, and here we have it.

In a sane world, there would be an investigation of the facts and a moment’s reflection on how inflamed the situation is, but I am afraid that inflamed is exactly what our politicians want it to be.

When the governor of the state talks about mobilizing the National Guard as part of a war against the federal government, it’s obvious that they want a confrontation and blood to be shed. This has been the goal.

Rioters are already attacking federal buildings in Minneapolis, and one has to wonder whether Walz’s National Guard troops will be ordered to allow them to. It sure sounds like it, given his apparent declaration of war against the federal government.

Democrats around the country are stoking up the rage, whether it is here or across the nation. Cries of “murder,” based on “feelz” not facts, are intended to create the conditions that create riots.

If lawmakers here wanted to ensure that the situation remained peaceful, they would not be stoking the anger. Absolutely none of them has any basis at all to be screaming “murder.”

We can argue whether the officer involved rightly believed he was in imminent danger, but by the evidence we have seen, the case is clear that it was rational for him to believe so.

Instead of telling his constituents to stop impeding/assaulting federal law enforcement, Walz is encouraging the public to go out and protest Trump and his administration.

A vehicle was aimed at him and was driving when he shot. I doubt she intended to kill him, but she certainly put him in danger enough to give him that impression.

Are the rest of us supposed to let a governor and mayor just declare war on the federal government? It’s ironic indeed that people who keep bleating about “insurrection” jump up and applaud at an actual insurrection, complete with the mobilization of troops against the federal government.

My guess? Walz wants to be arrested by the feds. He is in deep political trouble, and nothing gets people behind you better than a claim of martyrdom. He will stand up to the big bad bully Trump and get as much sympathy as possible.
