U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning Thursday to protesters in Minnesota following demonstrations tied to the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, stating that interference with federal law enforcement will lead to arrests and prosecution, as reported by Fox News.
Bondi made the statement as protesters gathered in Minneapolis after the death of Good, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen who was shot during an encounter with ICE agents.
While acknowledging that peaceful protests are protected under the First Amendment, Bondi emphasized that federal law will be enforced if demonstrations cross legal boundaries.
“Obstructing, impeding, or attacking federal law enforcement is a federal crime. So is damaging federal property,” Bondi wrote on X.
“If you cross that red line, you will be arrested and prosecuted. Do not test our resolve.”
MINNESOTA:
Peacefully protesting is a sacred American right protected by the First Amendment.
Obstructing, impeding, or attacking federal law enforcement is a federal crime. So is damaging federal property.
If you cross that red line, you will be arrested and prosecuted. Do…

This Could Be the Most Important Video Gun Owners Watch All Year
The warning followed protests that drew dozens of people to Minneapolis.
Video footage aired by KMSP showed a large group standing in a circle around what appeared to be a makeshift memorial in the snow, with flowers, candles, and handwritten signs honoring Good.
One sign read, “Rest in Power Renee,” while others displayed messages such as “ICE Out!” and “You Can’t Shoot Us All.”
An earlier video from Thursday morning showed a more tense scene outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, where protesters confronted federal agents.
Footage captured by Fox News showed officers pushing people back from the building and appearing to take several individuals into custody.
The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to requests for information regarding the number of arrests.
One man in the crowd was seen holding an American flag upside down, while others carried protest signs as federal agents maintained a perimeter around the building.
The demonstrations stem from the shooting of Good, which occurred during an ICE enforcement operation in the Twin Cities area.
Kristi Noem, the Secretary of Homeland Security, said Good attempted to use her vehicle as a weapon during the encounter.
Noem stated that Good tried to “weaponize her vehicle” and “attempted to run a law enforcement officer over” before she was shot. Federal officials have maintained that the ICE agent acted in self-defense.
If it wasn’t for the quick reactions and analyses of citizen journalists on X to correctly identify all aspects of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis, which was entirely justified, you’d be looking at George Floyd 2.0. Here is a slowed down video. pic.twitter.com/Hpy04lrLWL

Minnesota state and local leaders have publicly disputed the federal government’s account. Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis, and Tim Walz both condemned the shooting and called for an independent investigation.
“The state will ensure there is a full, fair, and expeditious investigation to ensure accountability and justice,” Walz said.
The incident has intensified political divisions in Washington and Minnesota, with lawmakers debating the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement strategy and the role of ICE operations in urban areas.
In response to the unrest, Minneapolis Public Schools announced on its website that classes would be canceled on Jan. 8 and Jan. 9, citing safety concerns and an abundance of caution.
Federal officials have not announced whether additional charges or arrests will result from the protests, but Bondi’s message made clear that demonstrations interfering with law enforcement operations will be met with legal consequences.
