Slowed-Down Footage of ICE Incident ‘Proves’ She Tried to Kill the Agent: Tim Pool [WATCH]

Political commentator Tim Pool said newly reviewed slow-motion footage led him to reverse his initial assessment of a fatal incident involving an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, stating that the video shows a 37-year-old woman intended to kill the officer and that the shooting was an act of self-defense.

Pool said he had previously believed the woman was attempting to flee and did not intend to strike the agent, though her actions still placed the officer in fear of serious harm.

After reviewing the footage frame by frame, Pool said his view changed.

“While I initially said that I believed she wasn’t intending to hit the officer and was trying to flee, but still put the officer in fear of harm. No, I’ve changed my mind,” Pool said.

“I’m going to show you the slowed-down footage that I believe proves this woman was intending to kill that ICE agent.”

Pool directed viewers to focus on the officer’s movement during the encounter, specifically his feet as the vehicle moved toward him.

“Watch the officer who has his gun drawn. Look at his feet right here in the back left,” Pool said.

“Let me make it a little bit easier for you guys to see as I pull this forward, notice his feet both slide backwards. You see his foot sliding. Yeah, he’s not taking a step. He’s being hit by the vehicle.”

This Could Be the Most Important Video Gun Owners Watch All Year

Pool addressed arguments that a vehicle accelerating toward a person would naturally push them aside rather than justify the use of deadly force.

“Now I can already hear you saying, Hold on, Tim, if you’re up against a vehicle and accelerates, it pushes you out of the way, that doesn’t warrant shooting somebody,” Pool said.

“Agreed.”

He then returned to the video sequence to describe the positioning of the officer and the vehicle before the shooting.

“Let’s go back to the lie. Here’s the officer. Here’s the vehicle reversing. The officer is not in front of the vehicle,” Pool said.

“She reverses, and now he is in front of the vehicle. He initially is to the right of the vehicle.”

Pool acknowledged that some may argue the officer placed himself in danger but said the events unfolded within seconds.

“By all means, argue he should not have placed him in this himself in this position. We’re talking about seconds,” he said.

Pool described the moment the vehicle stopped and the direction of its wheels.

“The vehicle stops here. The wheels are pointed left, as you can see. The officer is standing right in front of the vehicle,” Pool said.

He then pointed to what he described as a critical moment in the footage.

“Now, watch this right there. You see the front tire. Watch the front tire right here,” Pool said.

“The wheels are pointed left and she accelerates.”

According to Pool, the surface conditions played a role in how the vehicle moved, but not in a way that absolved the driver of responsibility.

“The wheel spins out on ice, then with the wheels pointed at the officer, having spun out already, meaning the officer can hear the engine rev with it pointed at him, he draws his weapon,” Pool said.

Pool said the vehicle then moved toward the officer.

“And in a second, because this is slow mode, she then begins to turn right, hitting him, and he shoots,” Pool said.

Pool emphasized that the footage shows the vehicle losing traction before striking the officer.

“I want to stress this again, her tire, her front tire on her SUV, is spinning out on the ice,” Pool said.

“You can see it right there. It spins on the ground.”

He said the sequence shows the officer was not in the vehicle’s path until the driver reversed.

“It slips the officer who was not standing in front of the vehicle before she backed up,” Pool said.

“She backed up and pointed at him, and then accelerates with her tires spinning out, and then moving forward, he draws his weapon, and then the wheel turns to the right.”

Pool addressed claims that the driver may have attempted to turn only after the officer drew his weapon.

“Now, of course, people have said, Oh, like she only tried to turn right after the gun was drawn, maybe,” Pool said.

“But I’ll put it like this. I don’t know what her intentions were, and it’s immaterial what our intentions were.”

He concluded by saying the icy conditions prevented an even more severe outcome.

“But look at this, the tire spinning out and slipping on the ice before stopping,” Pool said.

“There are two points that I think are important. Were it not for the ice, which you can see on the ground, the vehicle would have just lurched forward. Run this guy over. Seriously.”
