A United Airlines flight arriving from Chicago experienced a mechanical issue after landing at Orlando International Airport on Sunday afternoon, prompting a brief runway disruption and the evacuation of passengers by bus, according to airline officials and airport authorities, as reported by The New York Post.
The incident involved United Airlines Flight 2323, which departed from O’Hare International Airport and landed at Orlando International Airport, a spokesperson for United Airlines confirmed.
According to the airline, the aircraft experienced a “mechanical issue” upon landing. As a result, passengers were unable to taxi normally to the terminal and were instead transported from the aircraft to the terminal by bus.

Video posted to social media captured the moments immediately following touchdown. The footage shows the aircraft, carrying approximately 200 passengers and six crew members, lurching forward on the runway shortly after landing.

Seconds later, a small component from the front of the aircraft appeared to separate and roll away from the plane before spinning into a nearby grassy area.
Social media users speculated the detached component may have been related to the nose landing gear, though neither United Airlines nor airport officials have confirmed what part was involved or the precise cause of the mechanical issue.
Authorities said no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Emergency crews responded, and the aircraft was later cleared from the runway to allow normal airport operations to resume.
Because the disabled aircraft temporarily blocked the runway, a brief ground stop was issued at Orlando International Airport, according to a report by Fox10.
The ground stop was later converted to a ground delay as airport personnel worked to clear the runway and assess the situation.

Despite the temporary disruption, there appeared to be no significant delays at the airport by Sunday evening.
Data from the Federal Aviation Administration showed normal operations had resumed, with flights arriving and departing without major interruption.
United Airlines did not provide additional details about the nature of the mechanical issue and said the matter remained under review. The FAA had not immediately responded to a request for comment regarding the incident.
Mechanical issues following landings, while uncommon, are subject to investigation by airline maintenance teams and federal regulators.
Aircraft involved in such events are typically removed from service until inspections are completed and any necessary repairs are made.
Passengers aboard Flight 2323 were able to safely exit the aircraft after landing, and the airline said it was working to assist travelers affected by the incident.
United did not say whether the aircraft would be returned to service or how long it would remain out of operation.
The incident adds to a growing list of aviation events that have drawn attention in recent months, often fueled by dramatic passenger-captured video shared on social media.
In this case, officials emphasized that safety procedures were followed and that no one was hurt.
The FAA is expected to review the circumstances surrounding the landing as part of its standard oversight of aviation incidents involving mechanical issues.
