Now Brady Wants to Disarm the Police?

Brady president Kris Brown has never exactly impressed me with her smarts. But she does remind me of something my daddy used to say. “If you can’t impress them with intelligence, baffle them with bulls***.”

I mean, this is a woman who lost her mind over the video game Palworld having guns in it, like kids aren’t playing Fortnite, praised the Barbie movie for not having guns, and did the same for the Star Wars show The Acolyte, forgetting how Anakin Skywalker slaughtered school children with a lightsaber.

She’s made a joke of herself and her organization.

However, it seems that Brown isn’t content to just lambast private gun ownership. She seems to think that armed police are a problem, too.

However, when leaders realized HCI’s very name ran counter to the ideas of the vast majority of Americans, it changed its name several times to seem more palatable to average citizens. However, it never changed its core purpose of trying to limit private gun ownership in every way possible.

Now, it seems that “private” gun ownership isn’t all the group wants to limit, based on recent comments from the group’s president. In a January 8 post on X, following a few high-profile shootings by ICE and Border Patrol agents, Kris Brown said cops shouldn’t have guns either.

“We don’t know the details behind the shootings of 2 people by a Border Patrol agent in Portland,” Brown wrote in the X post. “But I know one thing for certain: whether in the hands of federal officers or everyday Americans, guns do not make us safer.”

While the claim is, of course, ludicrous, it’s also disrespectful to the founder of Brown’s own organization. Brady was named after President Ronald Reagan’s press secretary, Jim Brady. Both were shot in an attempted assassination, which was quickly ended by armed federal agents with guns.

What’s odd to me is that she’s saying this while admitting that she doesn’t know the details. After all, if the Border Patrol agents shot someone who was about to carry out a mass shooting (just spitballing here, I have no evidence they were), then didn’t guns make people safer?

What about armed ATF agents? Anti-gunners love them some ATF. These guys, whether we like them or not, actively seek out people who are armed. In the case of actual criminals, this means they’re going in against someone who has guns illegally, and Brown would have them unarmed while doing so?

Honestly, Brady would do well to replace Brown with someone who actually understands that just because they have a thought, it doesn’t mean it should be shared with the world.

Especially when the takes being shared are this level of stupid.

For a long time, many of us have figured that anti-gunners like Brown weren’t really anti-gun. They were fine with armed police coming to take our guns; they just didn’t want us to have them.

On that, it seems we were mistaken. She doesn’t want anyone to have them, apparently, and is just fine with lambasting federal agents having firearms while enforcing the law.
