Democratic Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost was reportedly punched in the face Friday during what he called a racially motivated encounter in the bathroom of a film festival.
The incident occurred at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, according to Frost and Variety, which reported the incident.
The assaulter was identified as Christian Young, according to the Park City Police Department. According to the outlet, Young was allegedly expressing pride in being white before telling Frost that Trump was going to deport him. After saying that, Frost claimed Young punched him in the face. “Last night, I was assaulted by a man at Sundance Festival who told me that Trump was going to deport me before he punched me in the face,” Frost wrote in a post to X on Saturday.

“He was heard screaming racist remarks as he drunkenly ran off. The individual was arrested, and I am okay,” Frost went on to say before thanking the venue and the Park City PD for their assistance.
“Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined Christian Young unlawfully entered a private party after previously being turned away for not having an invitation. Once inside the saloon, Young assaulted Florida Congressman Maxwell Frost and a female who was attending the private event,” the Park City PD told the Daily Caller in a statement.
Young was arrested soon after and booked into the Summit County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary and two simple assault counts, according to the Park City PD.
