As I started the day cracking on the United Kingdom’s energy crack-up, I thought I might as well continue with their mental one.
This was pretty interesting right off the bat for someone of my limited mental retention capacity. If I lived in a place like, say, San Francisco or somewhere, where I was required by law to memorise all the various they/them, zhe/zhirs my co-workers could demand I address them by, I could never keep them all straight. I remember a post I did a year or two back where one of those cities had a list of all the applicable pronouns one could use in official paperwork, and I think it went on for some, like, ninety entries.
I have a hard enough time as it is. It’s also why I was a miserable German student – der, die, das, die, den, die, das, die, on top of nominative, dative, accusative cases.
LET’S CALL THE WHOLE THING OFF
But never once in all the mis-gendered and ‘I zhe therefore I yam‘ gibberish had I ever heard of ‘fairy’ pronouns.
Had I, I probably would have been using them myself years ago while casting potent Galadriel spells on people.
Sadly, I had to learn of this sorcery from a newspaper article about what happens when one mocks those of the Elvish orders and refuses to use their chosen pronouns in England.
Fairies can be spiteful, you know. In fact, they’re downright vicious in all the Victorian-era fairy tales I’ve read. Nasty little buggers.
But back to modern-day British fairies, or these self-proclaimed ones, who are most probably just delusional crackpots, as honest-to-God real fairies are hard to come by.
The smiting is vengeful – they kick you out of the Green Party club and talk bad about about you if you don’t play nicely.
…Fairy pronouns are a type of modern or “neo” pronoun which can be used by people of any gender identity, including those who literally identify as mythical beings.
They are used as a substitute for traditional pronouns, meaning those using them would be referred to as fae/faer instead of she/her or he/him.
Please note that fairies are now protected under the transgender ideological umbrella – hey. I don’t make the rules.
In any event, it seems as if this Ms (I hope that’s okay) Emma Bateman, who seems to have a touch of the Dobby about her her ownself, isn’t taking this assault of the fairies’ preferred pronouns while meekly sitting on a toadstool.
🔴 Emma Bateman, who was co-chair of Green Party Women, was found to have breached diversity rules by making “clearly antagonistic” comments about “fae/faer” pronouns, a type of “neopronoun” inspired by the mythical world.

She’s suing.
…Emma Bateman, who was co-chairman of Green Party Women, was found to have breached diversity rules by making “clearly antagonistic” comments about “fae/faer” pronouns used by people who believe they are mythical beings.
She was also condemned for using the terms “pronoun police” and “cognitive cis-connance” during a speech in Hyde Park, leading to a three-month suspension and disqualification from the women’s committee for nine months.
Ms Bateman, 58, is suing the party for discrimination under the Equality Act 2010 after being repeatedly suspended and eventually expelled for her gender-critical views.
She claimed to have been labelled an “anti-Semitic, eugenicist, fascist, far-Right bigot” and warned the party’s “dogmatic” support for trans rights threatened to ruin its reputation for “following the science” on climate change.
COGNITIVE CIS-CONNANCE
See… this would almost certainly trip me up in such an environment. Not only pronouns and genders, but the carefully crafted woke pseudo-language they’ve developed to dance their way around saying everyday things without saying exactly what they mean, because there’s sure to be an objection from someone.
Nope, nope, nope.
Ms Bateman takes issue with not only fairies but pronouns in general, and this upsets the trans types who are a large component of any Green Party. This makes it very difficult for a woman who expresses sentiments championing real women over wannabes existing in the same space.
…She also challenged fellow members on how far they were willing to go to “prostrate” themselves to the “pronoun police”, and how much “cognitive cis-connance” they would “choke down” before they admitted “women are more than a feeling”.
…Ms Bateman’s legal battles with the party stretch back years. She says she was first put on a “no-fault” suspension in 2021 after asking whether Kathryn Bristow, then the co-chairman of Green Party Women, was biologically female.
At the time, Bristow identified as a transgender woman and claimed to be female. Bristow now goes by “any” pronouns.
The next year, Ms Bateman says she was put on another “no-fault” suspension after warning that “gender variant” people were being allowed to stand for the women’s committee, insisting that “men are not women”, and defending single-sex spaces.
According to Ms Bateman, these statements were found to be “insensitive, uncivilised, disparaging, unethical, bullying, and could have caused offence”, and she was barred from the party for six months.
I’m kind of baffled why Ms Bateman even bothers with these hateful, hate-filled, mentally ill misogynists, but I guess she feels there are battles worth fighting. And if she’s been a long-time member, she’s probably pissed off at the way the lunatics have infiltrated and taken over.
She has a point.
Even with the leader she questioned a few years ago – it’s all fluid to him. In 2021, he ‘identified’ as a woman, and how dare she question him?!
Now he goes by ‘any’ pronouns.
Women are women.
Period.
Personally, I think any Green Party member is a little off their nut…even if they claim not to have them.
…Ms Bateman also warned that the party’s position on trans rights “makes a mockery” of its claims that it is following the science on climate change.
“The Green Party prides itself on being a party of science, and we want people to believe us on climate change, and that’s one of the first things that I got into this over because I thought no one is going to believe us on science if we can’t tell them what a man and a woman is, because it’s ridiculous,” she said.
“It’s absolutely ridiculous to say we can’t tell you whether someone is male or female, but we’re a science-based party. I mean, it makes a mockery of it, so that’s why I was really vehement about it.”
Mr Polanski, the Green Party leader, has pledged his unwavering support for the trans community, saying people are “not necessarily” born male and female and insisting a woman can have a penis.
Or vice versa.
So, just stabbing in the dark here, but, like ‘women’ with penises, I don’t think these people are real fairies either, however hurt their feelings are when you point that out.
Sometimes, the facts of life aren’t fair(y).
