Rep. Brandon Gill outlined concerns about cultural transformation in North Texas and warned of threats to election integrity during an exchange with Steve Bannon, arguing that open border policies and mass migration are reshaping communities and the political landscape across the country.

Bannon asked Gill what motivated him to become more outspoken and join the caucus, citing growing national concern ahead of the 2026 midterms.

“What is it that drove you to join the caucus? What have you seen in Texas? What are you seeing throughout the country that said, Hey, I’ve had enough of this. I got to put my voice to this?” Bannon asked.

Gill said his concerns stem from changes he is seeing firsthand in his Denton County district, north of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

“Well, thanks for having me on. It’s really two things,” Gill said.

“One, what I see right in the DFW area. I represent a district that’s just north of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex in Denton County, and we hear, I hear from constituents all the time who are deeply and desperately concerned about the Islamization of the Dallas area.”

Gill said residents have raised alarms about new mosque developments and what he described as large-scale cultural shifts.

“They’re hearing about mosques that are popping up near land that they’ve they or their family have owned for generations,” he said.

“They’re hearing about these epic city compounds that are popping up. We have entire communities who are being transformed.”

Gill said constituents have told him daily life in parts of the area feels fundamentally different.

“And you hear about constituents talking about going to their local malls, and you look around and it feels like you’re in Pakistan, not Dallas, Texas, that’s a problem,” Gill said.

“And you’re seeing our communities, our culture, the place that we know and love here, being fundamentally transformed.”

He said similar trends in Europe should serve as a warning.

“You can see what’s happening in Europe where, you know, I think Europe is probably, I hope not, but they seem to be several, maybe a decade ahead of the United States in terms of, you know, the Islamization there,” Gill said.

“You see areas like Paris or London whose culture is being absolutely eroded, where there are no go zones, where you have mass Islamic migration that is stripping away French and English culture in those areas, and we can’t have that here.”

Gill argued that Islamic culture is incompatible with American governance.

“The reality is this is a culture that is fundamentally incompatible with our own governing framework, and we’ve got to be smart and have some common sense and recognize that,” he said.

Bannon then shifted the discussion to election integrity and the upcoming midterms, asking whether there is urgency among lawmakers to secure elections following years of mass migration.

“Is there a sense of urgency among particularly House members that we have to make sure that this election, this midterm, is 100% free and fair, Sir?” Bannon asked.

Gill said Republicans are acutely aware of the issue after years of open borders.

“Yes, absolutely,” Gill said. “After four years of open borders, I think Republicans are particularly have have an acute awareness of election integrity and the dangers of mass migrations impact on our electoral system.”

He said Democrats have long pursued a strategy of importing migrants and concentrating them in blue states.

“It’s very clear what the left has been doing for decades now, and that’s import as many people as they as they possibly can, and funnel those people into sanctuary jurisdictions, which tend to be blue states,” Gill said.

Gill said that practice affects congressional representation through census counts.

“That impacts congressional apportionment, meaning blue states get more congressional representation because the census is based on the number of people in a state rather than the number of US citizens,” he said.

Gill also pointed to local voting policies as part of what he described as a broader strategy.

“You see jurisdictions across the country, you know, New York and some left wing areas in California that are allowing illegal aliens to vote in local elections,” Gill said.

“This clearly is the left’s plan is to provide a path to allow non citizens or illegal aliens to vote in elections, eventually federal elections.”

Gill said Republicans support the SAVE Act as a way to counter that effort.

“One way that we can combat that, which we’ve talked a lot about, is the Save act something that the vast majority of Americans agree with,” Gill said.

“They don’t want illegal aliens voting in our elections.”

He said lawmakers must act quickly to pass what he described as basic reforms.

“We’re very keenly aware of the dangers of open borders, of mass migration and of an unsecure election system, and we’ve got to move quickly on getting just basic common sense reforms like the Save act through the House and the Senate and get them to the President’s desk,” Gill said.
