The search for Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of “TODAY” show anchor Savannah Guthrie, took another turn late Saturday night when investigators returned to the Arizona home of Guthrie’s sister, Annie Guthrie, according to multiple reports from the scene, as reported by TMZ.

Law enforcement officers were inside Annie Guthrie’s residence for several hours Saturday evening, remaining on the property until approximately 10:30 p.m. local time.

Authorities were seen photographing multiple rooms inside the home while reporters were kept at a distance.

One officer was observed carrying a silver briefcase into the residence, though officials have not said whether evidence was collected or what prompted the renewed search.

Outside the home, NewsNation correspondent Brian Entin reported seeing camera flashes inside several rooms as investigators worked. Multiple law enforcement vehicles were parked nearby throughout the evening.

The late-night search comes as Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance enters its second week. Nancy was last seen on January 31 after having dinner with Annie Guthrie and her husband, Tommaso Cioni.

According to investigators, the couple were the last known individuals to see her before she vanished. Annie Guthrie’s home had already been searched earlier in the week.

Authorities have not publicly explained why they returned to the residence Saturday night.

On Friday, investigators towed a vehicle from Nancy Guthrie’s garage and removed a camera from her home, actions that raised additional questions about the direction of the investigation.

The case has drawn national attention following reports that TMZ and other news outlets received an alleged ransom note earlier this week. The note reportedly contained two deadlines.

The first deadline, set for Thursday at 5 p.m., included a change in the alleged abductors’ demands. The second deadline listed in the note is Monday, February 9.

Earlier on Saturday, Savannah Guthrie appeared in a video posted to social media alongside her sister Annie and their brother Camron.

In the video, the siblings directly addressed Nancy Guthrie’s alleged abductors. They stated that they had “received your message” and said they agreed to pay the ransom demands.

Savannah Guthrie did not disclose details about the alleged communication or the amount of money requested. Prior to the video, the family had publicly asked for proof of life in connection with the ransom demands.

On Friday, TMZ founder and executive producer Harvey Levin discussed how far Nancy Guthrie may have been taken.

Levin outlined a geographic area where investigators believe she could be held, based on information contained in the alleged ransom note received by the outlet.

Law enforcement officials have not confirmed the authenticity of the ransom note and have released limited information about the ongoing investigation.

No arrests have been announced, and police have not identified any suspects.

As the search continues, authorities have urged anyone with information related to Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance to come forward.
