White House Slams Rep Ilhan Omar Over Social Media Post Targeting President Trump

President Donald Trump’s White House is condemning Rep. Ilhan Omar after the Minnesota Democrat posted a message on social media that officials say amounted to a call for violence against the sitting president, as reported by TMZ.

The controversy erupted after Omar wrote, “The leader of the Pedophile Protection Party is trying to deflect attention from his name being all over the Epstein files. At least in Somalia, they execute pedophiles, not elect them.”

In response, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson issued a sharp rebuke.

“It should deeply concern every single American that Congresswoman Omar is spreading such egregious lies and calling for the execution of President Trump, who has already survived two assassination attempts,” Jackson told TMZ.

The White House also called on members of Omar’s party to respond publicly.

“Democrats should immediately condemn this post and urge their colleague to stop lying and inciting political violence against the sitting President,” the Trump White House said.

Omar’s comments referenced renewed public discussion surrounding Trump’s past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Over the past several months, documents related to Epstein have drawn media coverage, and Trump’s name appears multiple times in released materials.

President Trump has denied any wrongdoing. He has stated that he severed ties with Epstein decades ago and has rejected accusations tied to the convicted offender.

During remarks Tuesday night, President Trump referred to Omar as a “fake ‘congresswoman,’” though he did not elaborate on what he meant by the comment.

The exchange comes amid heightened political tensions and ongoing national debate over rhetoric directed at elected officials.

The White House specifically cited two prior assassination attempts against President Trump in its statement, arguing that such language carries serious consequences.

Omar, who represents Minnesota in Congress, has not issued a follow-up clarification in the immediate aftermath of the White House response.

The clash highlights the continued friction between the Trump administration and progressive members of Congress, particularly on matters involving allegations tied to Epstein and the handling of related records.

The president’s past interactions with Epstein have been the subject of scrutiny for years. Trump has consistently maintained that he ended the relationship long before Epstein’s later criminal cases became public.

The White House framed Omar’s remarks as not only false but dangerous, emphasizing that political leaders bear responsibility for their words.

As of Wednesday, there was no indication of formal disciplinary action in Congress related to the post. The White House, however, made clear it expects Democratic leadership to respond.

The incident adds to a series of recent disputes between President Trump and his critics in Congress, with social media once again serving as the flashpoint.
