Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced Thursday that a kindergarten teacher at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, has been fired following complaints from military families about the teacher’s conduct in the classroom, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
The complaints, first detailed publicly by Liberty Counsel in a letter sent February 9, 2026, to the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), centered on a male substitute teacher and teacher’s aide at Mildred B. Poole Elementary School who identifies as a transgender wolf.
According to Liberty Counsel and the families it represents, multiple parents raised concerns that their kindergarten and pre-K children were exposed to behavior they described as “sexually inappropriate” and “disturbing.”

Liberty Counsel’s letter stated that school administrators permitted the teacher to dress in feminine clothing in class, wear a dog collar with fetish tags and an animal tail, and tell students stories about turning into a “wolf.”
The letter alleged that the teacher directed children to howl like wolves and required them to address him as “Ms. Roxxie” or by other names associated with online personas.

The letter further alleged the teacher made statements to children about being “born in a male’s body” but “actually a woman” who “likes boys.”
Liberty Counsel wrote that this conduct “constitutes sexual harassment in violation of Title IX and violates President Trump’s Executive Order 14168 of January 2025, Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”
The organization demanded that DoDEA suspend the teacher, remove him from contact with children pending an investigation, and offer forensic interviews for any little girls he had escorted to the bathroom.
At the time the letter was released publicly on Wednesday, DoDEA had not responded.
Parents reported that when they raised concerns in early 2025 and again in January 2026, school administrators told them they “can’t do anything about how he dresses, because there is no official dress code,” and because he is “transgender.”

According to the letter, the principal told parents that “we can’t help” and declined to provide assurances that children would be protected.
Liberty Counsel identified multiple online aliases allegedly used by the teacher, including “Roxxanne Wildheart” a.k.a. “Ms. Roxxie,” “Captain Roxxie,” “Koda Wildheart,” “Kiera Blackheart,” “Lilith Deathhowl,” “Artemis Deathhowl,” and “savagebeastqueen.”
Parents described children returning home upset. One mother reported her daughter saying, “Mommy, I’m scared he’s going to come eat me!”
When asked who, the child replied, “Ms. Roxxie! He told us again he turns into a wolf at night!”
The same child reportedly said, “Ms. Roxxie likes to have us howl like wolves,” and, “Ms. Roxxie says he was born in a male’s body, but he’s actually a woman, but he likes boys!”
Another family reported that their son saw “Mr. Roxxie” having students howl like wolves.
The Liberty Counsel letter also cited social media posts attributed to the teacher describing various “persona” characters and referencing multiple personalities. The organization included links to Instagram posts in its complaint.
Parents also reported that the teacher drove a red Jeep with lettering across the windshield reading “WEREBEAST HUNTRESS,” a custom front plate reading “ROX XY 666,” profanity, and transgender flags, which they said was parked on campus in view of students.
Following the public release of the letter, Hegseth confirmed Thursday that the teacher had been fired.
A civilian responding to Hegseth online claimed a similar issue existed at Fort Riley in Kansas, writing, “My granddaughter says there are some of those at their school on Ft Reilly in Kansas too! Why does the Army allow this? Unacceptable! They’re everywhere and must be stopped!”
