Dan Bongino addressed President Donald Trump’s recognition of Erika Kirk at the State of the Union and reflected on the legacy of her late husband, Charlie Kirk.

During the address, President Trump acknowledged Charlie Kirk and his widow from the chamber floor.

“My great friend, Charlie Kirk, great guy, great man,” Trump said.

He continued, “So last year, Charlie was violently murdered by an assassin and martyred, really martyred for his beliefs.”

Trump then turned attention to Charlie’s wife.

“His wonderful wife, Erika, is with us tonight. Erika, please stand.”

The moment was followed by applause and chants of “Charlie.”

Bongino later spoke about the recognition and the impact Charlie Kirk had on the movement.

“Here was another unbelievable moment,” Bongino said. “And I bring up this yesterday in light of yesterday’s show as well.”

He noted Erika’s presence at the event.

“Erika Kirk, obviously, Charlie’s wife, was at the State of the Union yesterday, recognized by President Trump,” he said.

Bongino added, “And I never miss an opportunity to recognize both Erika and Charlie. God, rest his beautiful soul.”

He continued, “I never miss an opportunity to recognize his contributions to the movement.”

Bongino described Kirk as someone who preferred building connections.

“A lot of people knew Charlie. A lot of people had a piece of Charlie’s life,” he said. “Charlie was very generous with his time with people.”

He added, “Charlie didn’t like making enemies. Charlie preferred to build bridges.”

Bongino said Kirk’s absence leaves a void.

“It’s going to be missed. The bridge is gone, and it’s going to take a lot of effort,” he said.

He also referenced a memorial service in Arizona and a conversation about replaceability.

“I was at the Arizona memorial service for Charlie,” Bongino said. “And I was talking to a friend of mine in the in the cabinet, and I was talking to Pete.”

He continued, “I said to him, you know, there are some figures that are not replaceable.”

Bongino compared the situation to taking over a major radio role.

“I acknowledge from day one, guys, if you’re waiting for Rush Limbaugh, the sequel, like, tune out, because I’m not it,” he said. “I’m no Rush Limbaugh, and I’m no Charlie either.”

He described Kirk’s communication skills.

“There was no more effective communicator out there on college campuses and to get in on us,” Bongino said.

He recalled a past conversation.

“I remember saying him once, talking to him about we had this big, long conversation about socials and stuff,” he said.

Bongino quoted Kirk’s response.

“He said, I can’t get off. We’re talking about a website. He goes, I can’t get it because a lot of young kids find us there. Find us there.”

Bongino said Kirk’s motivations were not financial.

“To him, it wasn’t about the money or anything like that,” he said. “He won’t be replaced.”

He added, “There’s no replacing him. There’s none.”

Bongino said rebuilding what Kirk built would require collective effort.

“It’s going to take collective efforts from a bunch of people to try to build that bridge again,” he said.

He then addressed criticism directed at Erika Kirk following the State of the Union.

“And I get it. I get it,” Bongino said. “They’re going to get a bunch of assholes and losers today.”

He described the types of comments he had seen.

“I don’t like what she wore. She didn’t cry enough. She cried too much. The angle of her chin was off. She should have done this, really,” he said.

Bongino continued, “Was your husband shot in the neck? How did you respond? You f**king piece of sh*t. There a textbook for that? I am unaware if it’s a textbook for that. I don’t want to read it.”

He added, “Her ear was dipped at a slight angle, and I analyzed it with my complete lack of any behavioral analytical skills at all. Shut the f**k up.”

Bongino emphasized the nature of the tragedy.

“Woman lost her husband,” he said. “He was shot in the neck on for the entire world to see in all of its disgusting, horrifying detail.”

He continued, “the outfit was black, but it should have been a darker black, because, Oh, shut your pie hole man, stupid ass Israel.”

Bongino added, “I get the Jews. I get it. I get it. I understand you think it’s my first rodeo with you dipshits. I know exactly what you’re doing.”

He concluded, “So tired of it, man, and I’m glad to see yesterday was a unified stance against this continued bullshit, just insanity. And thank you President Trump for taking a stand and bringing Miss Erika Kirk.”
