Commentator Carl Higbie raised concerns about public safety and recent violent incidents tied to extremist actors while discussing a confrontation that occurred during a protest in New York.

The incident involved a protester advocating for immigrants remaining in the city.

During the demonstration, a man described as a Muslim extremist threw an improvised explosive device over the protester’s head after pushing him to the ground.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

Before the attack occurred, the protester had been speaking in favor of allowing people to remain in the city.

“We were born and raised in New York, and we want everyone here to stay in New York,” the protester said.

“You don’t get to come from outside and then tell everyone out.”

Moments later, video from the scene showed the individual described as a Muslim extremist pushing the protester down and throwing an IED over his head.

Higbie referenced the incident while discussing broader concerns about security threats in the United States and reactions from political leaders and voters.

“America is done with all this stuff,” Higbie said.

“This might fly in Manhattan, where it’s a bunch of neutered sheep that will vote themselves into the slaughter, but not the rest of America.”

Higbie pointed to election results in New York City, saying that safety had ranked as a top concern among voters during exit polling while arguing that the candidate who won had proposed criminal justice changes he believes conflict with those concerns.

“And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, let me just give you this little tidbit here,” Higbie said.

“The exit polling in New York City on Election Day showed that safety was the top concern among voters, but yet, New Yorkers overwhelmingly voted for the guy who promised to empty the prisons and called violence a social construct.”

Higbie also referenced demographic data from those exit polls.

“In fact, even worse, 84% of women aged 18 to 29 who also polled as safety as their top concern, voted for Mamdani. Happy International Women’s Day,” Higbie said.

“Ladies, to celebrate you voted to sacrifice yourself.”

“I mean, thank God for the 19th Amendment,” Higbie said.

While criticizing political leadership and policies he opposes, Higbie said the attack during the protest should be condemned regardless of political differences.

“You see, I may not agree with everything the guy who held that protest this weekend believes,” Higbie said. “But every American should be against the guys who threw the bombs at the people peacefully protesting.”

Higbie said those responsible for the attack cited Islam when justifying their actions.

“And the justification for throwing those bombs they used was Islam,” Higbie said.

Higbie also referenced several other violent incidents he said have occurred in recent weeks.

“Just in the last few weeks, Muslim shoots up a bar in Austin, Texas, two dead, 14 shot,” Higbie said. “Muslim throws nail bomb shrapnel IED at Christians in New York City.”

He also mentioned other security concerns and threats that have occurred in different parts of the country and internationally.

“Muslim posed enough of a threat that he had to be taken down, off and removed from a Southwest flight from Nashville to Fort Lauderdale,” Higbie said. “A bomb threat was called in the Kansas City Airport.”

Higbie also referenced an explosion near a U.S. diplomatic facility in Europe.

“Explosion hits near a US Embassy in Oslo,” Higbie said.

He said the incidents come as tensions remain elevated and as federal authorities warn about possible threats tied to Iranian actors.

“While tensions skyrocket, Homeland Security warns of heightened lone wolf threatening attacks of Iranians,” Higbie said.

He also mentioned several bomb threats reported in Manhattan.

“And don’t forget the three bomb threats on the Upper East Side of Manhattan yesterday,” Higbie said.

Higbie argued that U.S. immigration policies and cultural debates have contributed to the current situation.

“But under the banner of diversity, tolerance and, I guess, self hatred, liberals have like mass imported Muslims,” Higbie said.

“And not just Muslims, but a ton of other cultures that don’t respect ours.”

Higbie pointed to political disputes in Dearborn, Michigan, as another example of tensions involving local government decisions and community responses.

“That is how we had the three bomb threats and a Muslim throwing shrapnel grenades at those who were peaceably assembling,” Higbie said.

He referenced a dispute involving street name changes connected to individuals associated with terrorist organizations.

“Because places like Dearborn Michigan were the majority Muslim city whose Muslim mayor wanted to throw out an American citizen who lived there almost his whole life protesting the renaming of streets to change them to terrorist affiliated supporters,” Higbie said.

“Yeah, I’d be mad about that too,” Higbie said.

Higbie also referenced tensions involving Iran and comments made by Iranian leaders.

“I like, I know it’s hard to believe that a city that praising, you know, the Ayatollah of Iran after Americans killed him,” Higbie said.

He said Iran has threatened to activate sleeper cells inside the United States.

“But I mean Iran now saying that they’re going to activate sleeper cells in America,” Higbie said.

“I mean, challenge accepted.”

Higbie concluded by warning that Americans should remain alert to potential threats.

“But folks, I think this is just the beginning,” Higbie said. “Look, I say, don’t be a victim. Be ready.”

“Or are you more concerned with diversity and stuff?”
