“I turned hard left as fast as I could to avoid as much impact on the children as possible,” she said.

The actress said the maneuver did not prevent the crash but altered the impact, which caused the vehicle to spin.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly afterward, and all eight individuals in Spelling’s vehicle were taken to a hospital by ambulance.
