SPLC and Pravda: a Match Made in Heaven

It’s worth noting that the SPLC is getting a full-court defense from Pravda for a reason: the driving narrative about Donald Trump, political violence, and the need for a censorship infrastructure in the United States is largely buttressed by references to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s “Hate Map.”

All the major news organizations rely heavily on the SPLC to tell them whom to slander; the US government partnered with the SPLC to determine whom to investigate; social media companies turned to the SPLC for advice on whom to censor; and public school curricula are designed around SPLC talking points. 

The Washington Post did a story about hate on Twitter after Elon Musk bought it, and the entire premise was based on the SPLC’s criteria. When it comes to proving the Narrative that hate violence is a right-wing phenomenon, it all comes down to the SPLC. 

So it should come as no surprise that, in the wake of the SPLC’s indictment, the media has turned its attention to Elon Musk, who has been driving the discussion about its grift and its danger to society for years. Major media outlets have outright lied about what the indictment says, but they are also trying to buttress the argument that only racists could possibly think that what they did was wrong.

Slandering Elon is a favorite topic in the media, and the Washington Post has 3 stories this week about the man, including this one basically saying that he is a white supremacist who invents fantasies about how white people are targeted in places like South Africa.

Of course, if you read The Washington Post, you might be skeptical of things like racial discrimination against whites in South Africa because it doesn’t fit The Narrative™, but this is a country where you can campaign for office singing “Kill the Boer” and have the media fawn over you for doing so.

The truth is that white farmers are getting killed, and racial discrimination laws now exceed those during the apartheid years. No serious person could argue anything OTHER than South Africa is as racist a country now (or more) than during the bad old days. 

The Washington Post isn’t serious, though, if by that you mean seriously interested in being truthful.

The Post actually quotes the…SPLC’s former head of “intelligence,” who likely was involved in the very criminal activity for which the organization has been indicted, to make its case that Musk is evil. 

Without telling anybody about the connection, all while the guy is probably in the crosshairs of the Justice Department for defrauding people and helping fund the KKK. You would think that they could find somebody else, but then again, the media and the SPLC are symbiotic. 

The point, of course, is to harm Musk’s upcoming SpaceX IPO. They tried to kill his businesses off after his purchase of Twitter, and then again during his time at DOGE, inspiring vandalism, arson, and random attacks on Teslas, and have failed to stop him. 

The Elon panic is something to behold. In one way or another, he has been slaying all their champions. Censorship on X, USAID, and, less directly, the SPLC.

The white supremacy angle fits well with their narrative. He is an immigrant from South Africa, which makes him suspect already. And the fact that it is lefties who are actually spreading antisemitic hate and wearing actual swastikas is irrelevant. They will go with Elon is a Nazi and Platner is a champion of the people, because it works for them.

The media will go all-in on defending the SPLC, which again FUNDED the KKK and the Charlottesville rally planning, and attacking Elon as a white supremacist. Rampaging white supremacists are a tentpole hoax for the left.
