Wisconsin Teacher Suspended After Shocking Post on Trump Assassination Attempt

A social studies teacher at Kaukauna High School has been placed on administrative leave after a social media post he made following the recent shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner drew criticism from public officials and prompted a district review, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Patrick Meyer, identified as a teacher employed by the Kaukauna Area School District, posted a message on X that was later deleted. Screenshots of the post circulated online after the incident, which involved a suspect attempting to breach security at the annual Washington, D.C., event attended by government officials and journalists.

According to the screenshots shared by the account Libs of TikTok, Meyer wrote:

“I am not impressed with recent presidential assassins. It’s f-king embarrassing. Booth, Guiteau, Czolgosz, Oswald must all be spinning in their graves! MAGAA (make Americans great assassins again)! Sad!”

The post referenced historical figures associated with past assassinations and appeared shortly after the attempted attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where Donald Trump and other administration officials were present.

The remarks drew a response from Tony Wied, who criticized the message and its tone.

“This type of disgusting rhetoric has no place in our society and does not represent our values in #WI08. It is not the example that our teachers should be setting for Northeast Wisconsin students,” Wied said.

Following the circulation of the post, the Kaukauna Area School District confirmed that Meyer had been placed on administrative leave while officials review the matter.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the district said:

“The Kaukauna Area School District has been made aware of a situation involving an employee’s social media post. The District has placed the employee on administrative leave and is taking additional action to review the matter in accordance with its policies and procedures.”

The statement also addressed broader concerns about safety and conduct within the district.

“The Kaukauna Area School District is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all students, families, and staff, and unequivocally rejects any conduct, expression, or behavior that may encourage, condone, or promote violence in any form.”

District officials added that the social media content was not connected to school activities and that there was no indication of a safety risk within the schools.

“The content of the employee’s social media post was not related to the Kaukauna Area School District, and there has been no evidence of a risk to the safety of our students and schools.”

The review remains ongoing as the district evaluates the situation under its established policies. No additional disciplinary actions have been announced.
