First responders, including officers from the Goldsboro Police Department and personnel from Wayne EMS, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported.

Emergency crews worked to assess the situation and provide care to those involved.

The crash involved only the school bus, and no other vehicles were reported to be part of the incident.

Dillard Academy Charter School issued a statement following the incident, acknowledging the response from local emergency services and addressing the condition of those involved.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to the Goldsboro Police Department and Wayne EMS for their swift response and support,” the school said in a statement.

Officials have not indicated whether weather conditions or roadway factors played a role in the crash.

Investigators are continuing to review evidence from the scene as part of the ongoing inquiry.
