Another Sterling Graduate of the Progressive Legal System Was Busy at Hwy Improvements in Cambridge

In Cambridge, Massachusetts, right outside of Boston, drivers minding their own business found things on the city’s busy Memorial Drive got a little spicy real fast. 

It turns out there was a fellow who wanted the already-bustling traffic to hurry along and was using a somewhat aggressive manner to relay that, which, strangely enough, had the opposite effect.

Standing on the side of the road or in the middle of it and firing at vehicles had the people going by in their cars frightened so badly that some of them slammed on the brakes, dove out, and ran.

Well, don’t you know, it only took about two seconds with that traffic to gum everything up, and this poor fellow vented his frustration apparently the only way he knew how.

If only he could have stuck to vehicles, but no. Sometimes you get a little excited, and bodies get in the way.

A gunman opened fire on vehicles on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on Monday afternoon, leaving two drivers critically injured before being wounded and taken into custody himself, officials said.

The shooting sparked a massive police investigation along Memorial Drive, with police cruisers blocking traffic and damaged vehicles left in the road, and elsewhere.

…Authorities said a Massachusetts State Police trooper and an armed civilian — described as a former Marine licensed to carry — confronted the suspect as people fled their vehicles and sought cover.

Both the trooper and the civilian fired their weapons, striking Brown multiple times in the extremities, Ryan said. Brown was treated at the scene and transported to a Boston hospital, where he remains in custody.

Yeah.

The weapon the lunatic brandished is (major dad recognized it as what’s called an AR-15 pistol) semi-automatic, pretty expensive, and he managed to get what authorities are estimating is at least sixty shots off before our two heroes engaged and neutralized him.

…A Massachusetts State Police trooper engaged Brown in the middle of the road. So did a passing motorist — a former United States Marine carrying a lawful Massachusetts License to Carry. Both opened fire. Both struck him. Brown went down on Memorial Drive with multiple gunshot wounds to the extremities and is now being held under guard at a hospital. The trooper, prosecutors said Monday night, was unharmed. So was the Marine.

The rampage was over in seconds. The trooper had been on patrol along the river. The Marine had been driving past. Neither one of them came to Memorial Drive looking for a shooting. They were the second line and the third line of defense — the line that activates when the first one, the criminal-justice system, has already let the threat back out the door.

Please note that last sentence – ‘when the criminal justice system has already let the threat back out the door.’

Because, once again, and if not for the actions of these two intrepid, obviously toxic males, there could well have been dead bodies and blood spread all over that roadway before the cops got there.

Meet 46-year-old Tyler Brown, the rampaging, gesticulating, bullet-spraying madman of the videos. And the sprawling not-dead-yet figure at the end of what could have been a tragedy of epic proportions.

Tyler is a 20-year-felon.

Most recently, in 2020, Brown was busy shooting up police officers while already on parole for something else. 

Nice, huh?

…In May 2020, near Massachusetts Avenue and Chester Park in the South End, Brown opened up on two Boston police officers responding to a man-with-a-gun call. He fired 13 rounds from a .40 Glock. The officers returned five. Nobody was hit — not the officers, not Brown, not a bystander.

Surely, even in Massachusetts, he got some sort of spanking, right?

Not enough of one, even though the District Attorney in this case had asked for a longer sentence.

Progressive judges.

…Five years ago, Brown emptied 13 rounds from a .40 caliber Glock at two Boston Police officers in the South End. The Suffolk District Attorney’s office asked the bench for 10 to 12 years in state prison. The bench gave him five to six. He served less than five and was paroled — and at 1:30 p.m. Monday, he was back behind a rifle, this time pointed at strangers in their cars.

Oh, hang on! Tyler Brown, career violent criminal, was supposed to be at his parole officer’s yesterday, and when he didn’t show, they went looking for him. And that parole he was on when he shot at the cops and got the schweet, schweet sentence from the kind-hearted judge?

Stabbing and witness intimidation.

What a peach…pit.

…While authorities have not yet officially confirmed his identity, a source confirmed the shooter’s name and identity with 25 Investigates. Boston 25 also obtained court records for a man with the same name and birthdate with a violent history of targeting law enforcement.

Brown’s record spans nearly two decades, including prior firearm and drug convictions.

Court records obtained by Boston 25 News show that in 2020, Brown fired thirteen rounds at Boston police officers in the South End. At the time of that shootout, Brown shot nearly three times as many bullets as two Boston police officers did in response.

Records show he was already on probation for a stabbing and witness intimidation.

Despite a recommendation from the district attorney for a ten-to-twelve-year prison sentence, a Suffolk superior court judge handed down only five to six years. Because that sentence was served at the same time as his probation violation, he was released back into the community after just a few years.

At the time, the district attorney’s office publicly slammed the judge’s decision, calling the light sentence “disappointing” and an insult to the officers who were nearly killed.

A law enforcement source told Boston 25 News that Brown was supposed to meet with his parole officer on Monday. The parole officer was allegedly concerned for Brown’s well-being and when Boston Police officers went to locate him in Dorchester, Brown was not at his residence.

The current Cambridge DA, who opened a Division of Racial Justice Initiatives in her office, didn’t have much to say about Brown’s previous multiple bullet spraying adventures nor his truncated time in the hoosgow.

Being unwilling to admit that the felon with a firearm is the problem is a problem.

She also couldn’t say whether he possessed the gun illegally or not. Despite the fact that she knew he was on parole for previously shooting at police, making him completely ineligible to legally possess a firearm in Massachusetts for the rest of his life. Such a clown show.

Commenters on X from the area are not confident Ms. Ryan will be as forceful in her demands for justice as Suffolk DA Rollins had been, however unsuccessfully, in her previous prosecution of Mr. Brown.
