Is There a Human Right to DoorDash Delivery?

Generation Z is famously facing more dire financial conditions than previous generations.

We hear that constantly, and I certainly don’t deny that in many respects, they have gotten a raw deal. Housing prices are high, and the job market is not particularly aligned with the education they were told would set them up for a comfortable life.

These kids, after all, were convinced that a degree in Women’s Studies and Gender Confusion was the path to prosperity as they agitated for a communist revolution.

But you have to admit, these kids have no financial sense. It’s obvious when you look at how they spend their money.

It turns out that Generation Z loves to eat out and get food delivered, despite not having the financial means to sustain the lifestyle they feel entitled to. You and I, when younger, made macaroni and cheese, ramen, and inexpensive meals to extend our food dollar.

It’s as if frozen, microwaveable meals never happened.

When this is pointed out, our favorite indeterminate age journalist explains that it is not their fault. As poor people, they don’t have the capacity to actually make meals such as mac and cheese, spaghetti with Ragu, salad, fresh vegetables, hummus, or any of the cheaper foods you can pick up at any grocery store and spend a few minutes making.

They have no choice but to order avocado toast for delivery to their door.

This has Taylor Lorenz avocado toast vibes. Hope you didn’t pay $22 for it🤣 pic.twitter.com/MctVRKlTES

Taylor has a history with food delivery. She famously complained that the $22 avocado toast came to her door looking terrible, so perhaps she thinks that food delivery at such expense is just the way normal people eat, because making your own food is impossible.

We all lived before door dash, right? Like I remember a time before door dash

Since we live in a country where food is a human right, and Generation Z just doesn’t have time between making and watching TikTok videos to make food, we are about 5 minutes away from food delivery becoming a human right.

It’s too easy to dunk on Generation Z, and I admit it is a bit unfair—not because they got a raw deal, but because most generations have faced crises they have had to overcome, including the Boomers on whom everything is blamed these days. Have you heard of Vietnam, anyone? Gen X spent their teen years under Carter. Imagine graduating from college right after 9/11. That was no economic treat either.

No, it’s the education Gen Z got. Apparently, nobody taught them a thing about resilience and self-reliance. They have been taught that they should spend their time worrying about gender issues and how to implement communism.

They never learned that the Hammer and Sickle meant work, not a right to food delivery by illegal aliens.

It’s a wonder they have been employable at all. Maybe that is why they all hate ICE so much; they anticipate a life where illegal aliens will deliver their food and wipe their asses.

Do we really need illegal immigrants to “wipe our asses”? We do according to congresswoman Becca Balint. pic.twitter.com/UIFitGYUNg

Well, if there is one thing we can all agree on, we don’t want Gen Z to take care of us when we are older. They can’t even take care of themselves.
