A Michigan congresswoman unloaded a profanity-filled defense of her record in a video that spread online this week.
Democratic Michigan Rep. Debbie Dingell used repeated obscenities while defending her work on Cuba and Venezuela, in a clip making the rounds on social media. The question that preceded her remarks is not audible in the available video, and the recording cuts off.
“I don’t appreciate being told we’re not doing enough when I f*cking voted on two war resolutions this week. And I’m going to tell you that people like me are standing up and saying what he’s doing in Cuba is wrong,” Dingell said in the footage. She added, “you’re f*cking elected a Republican Congress in this state.” (RELATED: Dem Rep Debbie Dingell Still Pushes Narrative That A Government Shutdown Will Be GOP’s Fault)

Her complaint about a stalled measure tracks with recent House action. Members rejected H.Con.Res.61, a resolution that would have removed U.S. forces from conflicts with designated terrorist groups in the Western Hemisphere, in a 216 to 210 vote, according to Responsible Statecraft. The measure was aimed at Trump administration strikes around the Caribbean.
Dingell has drawn online attention before. She went viral in May 2025 over video that appeared to show her asleep during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing, though she said she had been awake for 31 straight hours fighting Republican efforts on Medicaid, according to Fox 2 Detroit.
The congresswoman has served in the House since 2015 and has represented the 6th District since 2023, according to GovTrack.
The Daily Caller has reached out to Rep. Dingell’s office for comment.
