President Donald Trump gave a dual endorsement Friday for the South Carolina Republican gubernatorial runoff, to be held June 23.

Trump endorsed both the state’s current Republican lieutenant governor, Pam Evette, and its current Republican attorney general, Alan Wilson, in a Truth Social post. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Trump Squashes Biden’s Border Release Numbers To Zero)

The president has been announcing a lot of endorsements as the midterm and primary elections draw closer, but decided that “the Wonderful State of South Carolina” should be given two endorsements because there are “two Highly Respected Candidates running to be your next Governor in the June 23rd Republican Runoff Election.”

Trump said that both candidates have had amazing careers and have been with him since the beginning.

“They are MAGA and America First all the way!” Trump said. “These were the two that I was hoping would get into a Runoff, and they did. I can’t hurt one of them by only Endorsing the other, so, therefore, I am going to Endorse, for Governor of South Carolina, both Pam Evette and Alan Wilson!”

Though rare, this was not the first time Trump endorsed two candidates in the same race. The most notable instance was his endorsement of two candidates, both named Eric, running in Missouri’s 2022 Republican Senate primary, according to CBS News. “I am therefore proud to announce that ERIC has my Complete and Total Endorsement!” Trump wrote at the time.

Following Trump’s post, Evette said she was proud to have been the first name listed in the endorsement for governor.

Wilson also said he was honored to have Trump’s endorsement, adding that he has been proud to stand with Trump and his administration.

“It’s a Wealth of Riches — with either one you can’t go wrong,” Trump concluded. “Vote for Pam or Alan — They will not let you down!”
