A man was arrested Saturday in downtown Los Angeles after authorities said he allegedly fired a BB gun at participants taking part in the annual World Naked Bike Ride, leaving two people with minor injuries, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

According to reports, the suspect was taken into custody on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon involving a BB gun, along with additional charges that have not been specified.

Authorities said two victims suffered lacerations during the incident.

The incident occurred during Los Angeles’ annual World Naked Bike Ride, an event that organizers hold each year during the summer months.

According to ABC 7, two separate rides were held in Los Angeles on Saturday at different times. Each route covered nearly 10 miles through the city.

The event drew hundreds of participants and spectators throughout downtown Los Angeles.

Although participants ride with little or no clothing, the event operates under guidelines intended to distinguish it from sexually explicit conduct.
