A Canadian woman living in New Jersey is facing serious charges after she allegedly attacked a teenage girl simply for wearing patriotic clothing featuring the names Trump and ICE.

The incident unfolded on the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk during the Fourth of July weekend, and now the alleged assailant has found herself behind bars and in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Authorities identified the woman as Kaitlyn E. Tracey, age thirty three, who was reportedly filming a group of teens before confronting them over their clothing choices.

According to a report from NJ.com, Tracey allegedly slapped the victim across her face and body, an act that police described as unprovoked and aggressive.

The patriotic messaging on the girl’s clothing seems to have been the spark that set Tracey off, which says plenty about today’s climate of political intolerance against conservatives.

Police say surveillance footage backs up the teenage victim’s account of what happened.

The video allegedly shows Tracey striking the young girl once on the body and again on the face before fleeing the scene.

Officers launched an investigation shortly afterward, which led to Tracey’s arrest days later.

Tracey now faces a mountain of charges including endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction.

Law enforcement noted that she is a Canadian citizen who came to the United States in 2024 using a passport.

When asked for comment, her attorney, Francis Hodgsen, had nothing to say.

But her husband did.

He appeared in a tearful social media video pleading for sympathy after his wife was detained by ICE. In his words, “Yesterday July 13, my wife was detained by ICE and brought to Delaney Hall in North New Jersey.”

When Fox News Digital reached out to ICE for further comment, officials did not immediately respond.

The confrontation reportedly began on July 3, right as crowds gathered for Independence Day celebrations on the Jersey Shore.

Witnesses told officers that Tracey became visibly agitated after spotting the wording on the teens’ brightly colored sweatpants.

It was a simple patriotic outfit featuring the words Trump and ICE in red, white, and blue.

To most Americans celebrating the holiday, it would have blended right in.

But to Tracey, who seemed determined to make a statement, it triggered a physical altercation.

This sort of political hostility directed at anyone who supports Trump or respects law enforcement has become increasingly common in Democrat-run areas.

Conservatives can wear a hat, shirt, or sticker and immediately become a target for harassment from self proclaimed activists who cannot seem to coexist with people who think differently.
