Maine Dems Dump Rape-y Nazi and Get a Freak Parade UPDATE

Oh, good morning, SUNSHINES!

I thought, since I love you all so much, I would set you up for the weekend first thing with a big old helping of the steaming Carnival Side Show tryout mess the Democratic Party of Maine held last night, cleverly disguised as the Maine Democrat U.S. Senate Debate.

Oh, the little dickens – they almost had us fooled. ALMOST.

And then these stellar individuals, like, opened their mouths, and poof! All of a sudden, a hairy, rapey, fake oystering Nazi MAKES PERFECT SENSE.

Oh, gosh, I can’t wait for you to meet them.

There were two back-to-back debates of a slate of four at a time, and some were just so darn memorable.

One of the sterling individuals on the stage was Shenna Bellows, Maine’s infamous Secretary of State. I say ‘infamous’ because you might remember her attempt to keep Trump off the Maine GOP primary ballot over the insurrection clause until crushed like a bug by SCOTUS.

She has also been crushed like a bug by Susan Collins before, but she dreams BIG, anyway.

Reminder that Shenna Bellows lost to Susan Collins by 37 points.

Jordan Wood is a fresh-faced, former Capitol Hill staffer for *gulp* Katie Porter, the ‘Household Name‘ for ‘her work IN CONGRESS.’

That’s the story he’s going with?

Another lightweight was Dan Kleban, the brewery owner whose comprehensive skills need sharpening, as he doesn’t understand where a statement like this…

Cause and effect will continually elude them as they try to appeal to regular, everyday Americans.

The manly-man entrant in the ‘replace the Nazi’ contest is Troy Jackson, lumberjack. He’s been painted as an opportunist, having once been a pro-life Republican.

Sings an entirely different tune about everything now.

And he’s one of these ‘always running for something’ types, whose rhetoric can’t seem to get out of his own way.

He’s a big fan of that ‘pay your fair share’ chant. As long as you conveniently ignore the fact he believes it doesn’t apply to him.

…Jackson launched a bid for governor in 2025, and his campaign featured a large swath of ideas and issues that have become common on the Democratic left, especially on the issue of taxation. So Jackson had a plan. Naturally, he called it his “fair share” plan because one of the more humorous aspects of Democratic tax plans is the accusation that wealthy taxpayers don’t pay their “fair share,” when it fact, they pay more taxes than all other income groups combined.

…This would be all well and good except that it took a state lien to get Jackson to pay his fair share of taxes. In August of 2025, the state hit Jackson with a lien related to unpaid state income taxes from 2020.

In October, the lien was released by the state. It didn’t indicate why, but since Jackson was in the middle of a campaign advocating for raising taxes, it’s reasonable to conclude that he paid the tab for that reason. After all, it’s hard to advocate that people pay more taxes when you have thousands sitting out there unpaid.

D’OH!

This helps explain how a man who served as the president of the Maine State Senate for six years could still be clueless about budgets.
