SpaceX Could Become the Most Important Company in World History [WATCH]

Cathie Wood is no stranger to bold predictions, and her latest take on SpaceX is turning heads across Wall Street. The ARK Invest CEO called Elon Musk’s aerospace powerhouse “the most important company in global history,” a striking statement even by her famously bullish standards.

Despite a steep decline in SpaceX’s stock price and a looming one hundred sixteen billion dollar share unlock, Wood is not backing down on her conviction that Musk’s venture will define the future of technological progress.

During an interview on “Mornings with Maria,” Wood brushed aside concerns about the recent selloff.

She pointed out that ARK Invest added another eighty million dollars to its SpaceX position following its much anticipated public debut. Her message to investors was clear, the short term pain is nothing compared to the long term potential.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement

“Down from its peak, it is,” Wood said.

“But of course not from the IPO price. We think this could become the most important company in history, and I mean in global history.”

That confidence stands in stark contrast to the skeptics.

One famed market pessimist recently warned that SpaceX’s IPO could be “laughed at in fifty years,” calling it the “craziest” bet on Wall Street.

But where others see risk, Wood sees revolution.

She believes Musk’s company is not just a rocket firm or a satellite network, but the foundation for a completely new global infrastructure connecting every corner of the planet.

“We’re talking about not only really exploring a new world, the universe, in terms of its launch capabilities and helping others to do so as well, but also a global communications network,” Wood explained.

“Really, think telecom, that’s been a very local business. In fact, the way to break into countries historically was to buy the telecommunications companies, no longer.”

In her view, SpaceX’s Starlink system is rewriting the rules of communication by bypassing traditional state controlled exchanges and outdated government regulated networks.

WATCH:

On Wednesday morning, SpaceX stock traded near one hundred twenty three dollars and fifty cents per share, nearly half of its previous high around two hundred twenty five dollars.

That fall translated into a staggering one point four trillion dollars in lost market value, dropping SpaceX to eighth place by market capitalization, just behind Meta for the first time since its debut.

Yet Wood remains unfazed.

To her, such volatility is par for the course when investing in companies that redefine industries.

In a previous interview, Wood applauded Musk’s unmatched ability to build vertically integrated businesses.

She argued that connections between Tesla, xAI, Neuralink, and SpaceX give him a strategic edge beyond anything seen in modern corporate history.

“He has the capability to integrate all of these entities into a synergy that the market has not yet priced in,” she said.

Her faith in Musk’s vision has been unwavering, even through the market turmoil that rattled other high growth sectors this year.

Musk himself has been unusually vocal in defending his company’s momentum. In a post on X, he cautioned traders against betting against SpaceX.

“The survival probability of firms that maintain a significant short position in SpaceX over time is very low,” he wrote, sending a not so subtle warning to hedge funds that have built positions against his aerospace empire.

The stakes are high, not only for investors but for the broader innovation race that SpaceX represents.

From reusable rockets to global satellite internet, Musk’s breakneck pace has forced legacy aerospace companies and state space agencies to play catch up.

SpaceX has repeatedly demonstrated capabilities that bureaucratic heavyweights like NASA and the European Space Agency struggle to match with their slower, regulation laden processes.

Wood’s admiration for Musk also speaks to a larger frustration within conservative and free market circles.

Many see his success as proof that innovation flourishes when government steps aside.

Musk’s defiance of regulatory overreach and his refusal to bow to political correctness make him a hero among those tired of corporate timidity and state interference.

The liberal establishment may gripe about his comments or mock his business ventures, but the results are impossible to ignore.

ARK Invest’s bet on SpaceX also signals Wood’s ongoing belief that artificial intelligence and advanced hardware will rewrite economic structures.

She has repeatedly said that AI’s influence on private markets is “much bigger” than what is reflected in public markets.

SpaceX’s use of AI in navigation, communications, and data management makes it more than a space company; it is an integrated tech platform anchored by physical dominance in orbit.

If history is any guide, Musk thrives precisely when critics predict failure.

His achievements in electric vehicles, private space travel, and neural technology all began as impossible ideas.

Now Wood is placing a massive wager that SpaceX will not only survive but redefine humanity’s relationship with technology and communication.

She sees it as the bridge between Earth and the stars, and judging by her track record of conviction investing, she intends to ride that vision all the way through turbulence and into open space.

While investors squabble over quarterly losses and chart technicals, Cathie Wood is doubling down on a much bigger picture.

Her belief that SpaceX will be remembered as the most significant company in global history might sound extreme today.

Then again, so did the idea of landing reusable rockets just a few years ago.

If Musk’s track record is any indication, betting against him has rarely ended well.
