Remember Deborah Birx?
You know, that nice lady with the scarves everybody gushed over?
Also the lady who bragged about lying to Donald Trump, conspiring around his back to distort White House policy and tell governors to ignore what the president said and follow her preferred guidelines based on The Science™?
Yeah, that chick who everybody gushed over because she was a master bureaucrat who had Mike Pence wrapped around her finger.

Birx is Dr. Fauci’s accomplice, and while far less evil than Fauci, because there is little indication that she actually conspired to create the COVID virus that wiped out tens of millions of people, she participated in the subsequent destruction that destroyed lives and split this country apart. She lied repeatedly, causing enormous damage, and decided that she and Fauci could run a shadow government and do an end run around the political leadership elected by the American people.

And then she bragged about it in her autobiography, confident that Pravda would applaud her.
Well, guess what? She was never pardoned by Joe Biden, by autopen or by hand. She is completely open to prosecution for her own crimes against humanity. Not that I am lawyer enough to know exactly what crimes she committed, but if there were ever cases where prosecutors at the federal and state levels should try, Fauci and Birx should be taking a look.
Birx is still subject to federal prosecution, and Fauci couldn’t escape any state-level cases aimed at him.
In addition to hauling Birx before the committee, and leveling charges, how about a full-blown airing of the entire lockdown scam.
Bring in the doctors and epidemiologists who were cancelled. Bring in parents. People who lost their businesses and their jobs.

Deborah Birx from her memoir, explaining how “two weeks to flatten the curve” was just marketing for harsh, months-long lockdowns that she was really planning:
“On Monday and Tuesday [March 9th and 10th, 2020]…we worked simultaneously to develop the flatten-the-curve guidance I hoped to present to the vice president at week’s end. Getting buy-in on the simple mitigation measures every American could take was just the first step leading to longer and more aggressive interventions. We had to make these palatable to the administration by avoiding the obvious appearance of a full Italian lockdown. … No sooner had we convinced the Trump administration to implement our version of a two-week shutdown than I was trying to figure out how to extend it. Fifteen Days to Slow the Spread was a start, but I knew it would be just that. I didn’t have the numbers in front of me yet to make the case for extending it longer, but I had two weeks to get them.”

Fauci was the architect, the figurehead. But he didn’t act alone. Like the other great mass-killing monsters of history, the Maos and Stalins and Hitlers, he had a lot of help.
Admittedly, putting Birx in jail is hardly as satisfying as watching Fauci being slow-roasted on a spit before being flogged, drawn and quartered, and having his limbs scattered to the four points of the compass, but it certainly would be a good object lesson for technocrats who exceed their remit.

Birx herself has bragged about her efforts to subvert the president’s policies in her autobiography, and has admitted that she lied to policy makers and the American public to get them to comply with public health measures she knew were unwarranted. She was scared to death that President Trump would act on his own knowledge that she had manipulated him.

Anthony Fauci’s private diary entry – April 23, 2020:
“After the presser (about 1 hour) Deb Birx texted and then called me saying it was good that I was not there since after the presser, the POTUS called her into the Oval and started yelling at her saying “You and Fauci have destroyed the country and the economy. I should never have listened to you. You have completely destroyed us.” He kept saying this over and over again and was yelling at her. I encouraged her that we are OK and at the end of the day she and I will be loved by the people we care about. She was relieved and after wrote me a text sincerely thanking me.”
Birx and Fauci both knew that the vaccine did not do what they claimed, and knew that they had never been tested in children, yet pushed them out, hoping that they could demonstrate safety and effectiveness in what amounted to a nationwide natural experiment.
She admitted she altered documents, lied constantly to the president and everybody else, even implying that Mike Pence was a co-conspirator. It would be on-brand for him, no doubt.

John Tierney did a podcast with John Montz in 2024 in which Montz explained that, in terms of manipulating public policy, she was actually more damaging than Fauci himself. Montz had produced an excellent documentary laying out the case against her; not a legal case, exactly, but one that outlined her villainy nonetheless.

Birx is still lying to cover her own rear end, of course. And she has plenty of reason to: she’s doing very well, at the Bush Center and on the Board of Palantir and is Chief Medical and Science Advisor to ActivePure, a company that provides air and surface purification technology.
I doubt she does much actual advising. It’s her name that sells product.
