Stassi Schroeder is opening up about how harsh internet commentary affected her after she appeared in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show, as reported by Page Six.

The “House of Stassi” star, 38, spoke exclusively to Page Six Radio on Tuesday morning about walking the runway and dealing with the reaction that followed.

“The first year was really amazing,” she told co-hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real. “The second year, the trolls got to me.”

According to Schroeder, online critics focused on her “rectangle” body and compared her physique to SpongeBob SquarePants.

Schroeder said the haters were “not wrong,” but the comments still left her questioning whether she wants to return to the magazine’s annual fashion show for a third year in a row.

The “Vanderpump Rules” alum first walked in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show in 2025, then returned to the catwalk in May during Miami Swim Week.

For her second appearance, she joined names including Alix Earle, Tiffany Haddish and Bethenny Frankel.

Even though the negative feedback made her feel “just a little insecure,” Schroeder said the actual experience of being part of the show was positive.

She described the event as empowering and praised the women involved, saying the atmosphere had a strong girl power feeling and that people were lifting each other up.

That mix of public praise and public criticism is not new for Schroeder, who has spent years in the spotlight.

In 2020, after eight seasons on Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules,” she and longtime co-star Kristen Doute were fired when their past racist actions against a former cast member resurfaced.

Schroeder has since worked on rebuilding her public life and career.

She married Beau Clark, 46, and the couple has two children, Hartford, 5, and Messer, 2.

She also became a New York Times bestselling author with her books “Next Level Basic” and “Off with My Head.”

More recently, Schroeder returned to reality television with Hulu’s “House of Stassi,” marking another major step in her comeback.

As for the online hate, Schroeder said she has gotten “really good” at handling it and noted that there are now “few things” that still bother her.

“If you believe all of the positive stuff you read, that means you have to believe all the negative stuff you read,” she said. “So, I just don’t believe anything.”

Because she has been famous for over a decade, Schroeder said she understands how quickly public opinion can swing.

“One minute people love you, the next they hate you,” she said.
