Joe Rogan Completely Cooks CNN, Mainstream Media Over Fauci Hearing Coverage [WATCH]

Podcast host Joe Rogan criticized major news organizations for giving little attention to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s congressional testimony, arguing that the hearing deserved widespread coverage because of its connection to the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on millions of Americans.

Rogan specifically took aim at CNN, saying the network dismissed the significance of the proceedings instead of covering them as a major news event.

“One of the wildest things now is during this Fauci trial, you’re not seeing any coverage of it on mainstream media,” Rogan said.

He noted that one CNN panel did discuss the matter but criticized how it was presented.

“Except I saw one of those stupid panel shows on CNN where they were saying no one cares about this.”

According to Rogan, the issues raised during the hearing remain important despite the passage of time.

“We should care about what’s happening right now.”

He rejected the argument that Americans have moved on from the pandemic.

“America doesn’t care about what happened five years ago.”

Rogan then described why he believes the hearing should have received greater attention.

“Hey, there’s a congressional hearing going on where a guy’s testifying in front of Congress, who got a 10-year complete 10-year immunity for all the crimes that he possibly could have committed when he wasn’t convicted of any crimes.”

He argued that such a circumstance is unprecedented.

“Which is an incredible precedent that’s never happened before.”

Rogan continued by emphasizing what he believes makes the situation unique.

“You’ve never had a guy get pardoned for something that he was never convicted of for 10 years, anything he did in 10 years.”

He also pointed to Fauci’s decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment while testifying.

“And then you have that same guy testifying in front of Congress, pleading the fifth that would color his tie is.”

Rogan argued that those developments alone warranted significant news coverage.

“If you don’t think that’s news, you’re out of your fucking mind.”

He added, “And you shouldn’t be calling yourself the news because you’re just a propaganda arm for whatever pharmaceutical company is paying for your advertisements.”

Rogan accused major media organizations of abandoning basic journalistic responsibilities.

“This, what you’re doing is nonsense.”

“This is definitely not news.”

According to Rogan, the hearing is relevant because many Americans were directly affected by pandemic-era policies.

“That’s a big issue for most Americans who went through that.”

He cited examples of people who experienced personal or professional consequences.

“People who lost their jobs.”

“People who had to take a vaccine in order to go to work and got sick from it.”

“People who they couldn’t fly, they couldn’t travel.”

“They were vilified.”

“They were called plague rats because they were questioning these things.”

Rogan said those experiences make the hearing worthy of public attention.

“And here we are.”

“Here we are with CNN saying this is not a big deal.”

He also criticized the argument that more pressing current events should take precedence.

“Why are we concentrating on this? We have so many issues right now plaguing this country.”

Rogan responded that the news media should be capable of covering multiple important stories at the same time.

“Yeah, guess what? We can concentrate on those too.”

“We can look at everything.”

He argued that comprehensive reporting is a core responsibility of journalism.

“That’s what you’re supposed to do.”

“That’s what the news is supposed to be.”

Rogan concluded by saying that news organizations should present information rather than determine which issues the public is allowed to consider important.

“You’re supposed to be telling us you’re not supposed to be the arbiters of what we can and can’t concentrate on.”

“That’s ridiculous.”
