Back in my day, everyone was working for the weekend. It was the time when you’d get done with work or school, then go blow off some steam. That did not include opening fire at an In-and-Out.
Like many would-be mass killers, this chucklehead, who has been identified, thought he’d find a place with a fair number of people and start killing.
And, well, anti-gunners will tell you that if you put a gun-free zone sign on the door, someone with murderous intent will stay outside. Unfortunately, all that does is keep good guys with guns outside.
Contrary to what anti-gunners will try to claim, though, good guys with guns save lives, as the shooting at a Twin Falls burger place made abundantly clear.
An armed bystander may have saved lives by distracting a gunman who had opened fire at an In-N-Out Burger on Saturday, according to a witness.
Lane Koehn, 34, was at a stoplight just outside the fast-food restaurant when he saw a person with an AR-style rifle emerge from the drive-thru. Bullets struck a car in front of him, and Koehn watched the shooter move through the drive-thru toward his own car, he told NBC News.
“I could tell he was trying to figure out where to go, and somebody in the drive-thru line with a handgun was shooting at him,” Koehn said.
He described the shooter as “panicked,” looking around and moving “kind of erratically.” Koehn believes the armed bystander kept the gunman from shooting at more people.
“The shooter was solely focused on him, and [it] allowed us to get out,” Koehn said. “I mean, the car directly ahead of me was getting shot — it gave them time to leave.”
He doesn’t know what happened before he pulled up to the stoplight, but Koehn said that the ordeal he witnessed lasted about 10 to 15 minutes.
Three people were killed and seven others were injured, two of whom were in critical condition Sunday, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said at a news conference.
We’ve opted not to include the now-identified killer’s name because fecal stains like him don’t get that kind of respect here. Instead, we mock him. And, frankly, only two people were killed. The killer is also dead, but the moment you decided to try and kill people in job lots, you lose your status as a person in my book.
And let’s be real, the good guy with a gun, who Al Jazeera identified as Jordan Salinas, popped out of his vehicle in jean shorts, a cowboy hat, and a suppressed handgun to take a massive dump on the dipstick’s murder rampage.
Salinas, it seems, is a believer in training for the moment.
2 years ago, Jordan “The Fearless Patriot” Salinas posted on Facebook “train like your life depends on it because God forbid, one day it might”
Today he helped save the lives of countless civilians from an active shooter at the In-N-Out in Twin Falls, Idaho

Anti-gunners throughout the internet are, as we speak, trying to make these actions somehow suspect. They claim that he put innocent people at risk—Cam will have more on that later today—but let’s understand something here and now. I will always reject the notion that it’s somehow better to let a murderous rampage continue than to engage the killer because someone who wasn’t even there will claim innocent lives were at risk.
They’re just pissed that, once again, a good guy with a gun stopped the bad guy with a gun.
But, speaking of good guys with guns, Salinas apparently had some company.
Police confirmed that an off-duty officer and a Good Samaritan confronted a gunman after he opened fire at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday.

Good on that off-duty police officer for doing what needed to be done. Good on Salinas for doing what needed to be done.
This could have gone a whole lot worse, and it didn’t. It didn’t because guns save lives and no amount of screaming about nonsense will change that in the least.
