Talarico Erases Progressive Blurbs to Fool Texas Voters [WATCH]

Commentator Sara Gonzales accused Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico of reshaping his public image ahead of the 2026 election, arguing that changes to his campaign website reflect an effort to distance himself from positions she says were previously highlighted.

During a recent segment, Gonzales claimed Talarico altered the messaging on his campaign website after launching his Senate campaign because, in her view, his earlier positions would not appeal to a statewide Texas electorate.

“Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico is running from his past because he knows he can’t get elected in Texas if he tells the truth.”

According to Gonzales, the website was revised shortly before Talarico officially entered the Senate race.

“So much so that he scrubbed his website when he announced his Senate run to remove references to trans kids and Republican extremism, and all of the other crazy radical views that he has, he had to scrub it from his website.”

Gonzales then quoted language that she said previously appeared on Talarico’s website before those changes were made.

“Prior to his Senate run, his website had the blurb, I’m not afraid to stand up to Republican extremism. I’ve led the fight against their efforts to bully trans kids, ban books, whitewash our history curriculum, gut public education with a private school voucher scam, and force their Christian nationalist agenda onto the people of Texas.”

She paused to offer her reaction to that language.

“Which is, first of all, very dramatic.”

Gonzales also said the earlier version of the website prominently described Talarico as supporting progressive legislation.

“There also was a place where he bragged about being committed to bold progressive legislation, no matter how long it takes, like it was right there front and center in his website.”

According to Gonzales, those references disappeared around the time Talarico launched his Senate campaign.

“And then, curiously, in early September 2025, as he was announcing his Senate run, these sentences just poof vanished.”

She argued that the campaign’s messaging shifted toward a different political theme.

“The new homepage that he put in right before he announced that he was running for Senate says that Talarico is fighting quote billionaire megadonors end quote, rather than Republican extremism.”

Gonzales said she believes the revised language reflects a broader effort to appeal to a wider audience.

“That’s nowhere to be found, it’s just these billionaire megadonors.”

She also contended that one particular word had been removed entirely from the campaign’s messaging.

“But more importantly, the word progressive completely vanished from the website.”

According to Gonzales, she was unable to find references to progressive policies after the changes.

“You can’t find it. You cannot find his new bold progressive agenda on his website anymore.”

Gonzales argued that the changes represent an attempt to present a different political identity during the statewide campaign.

She maintained that voters should compare Talarico’s earlier public statements with the language currently appearing on his campaign materials when evaluating his candidacy.

Concluding her remarks, Gonzales accused the Democratic candidate of attempting to conceal his previous positions in order to improve his electoral prospects.

“Because the James Talarico who is running today in 2026 is a total fraud. He is pretending to be something that he is not in order to trick Texans into electing him.”
