Networks Play Follow the Leader Out of White House in Hyper Hissy Fit Over Bans

Three days ago, freedom of speech came to an end.

Donald Trump kilt it.

Or you would have thought he did from the uproar, when all he in fact did was tell a few rude and obnoxious guests that they and their brand of targeted journalisming were no longer welcome at the house he occupies while he has legal residence there.

CNN, MS-NOW, and Politico no longer had access to the Oval Office.

The meltdown over the abrupt evictions was pretty hilarious in light of the amnesia on display amidst all of the cries of ‘HOW DARE HE?!’ and ‘Freedom of speech is dead!‘ and the sanctimonious reminiscing of one of the worst thin-skinned censorship offenders who ever held the office.

He knows he will avoid any serious media pushback on flat-out revisionist history like this, because the Democrat allied media doesn’t like to question or criticize Barack Obama.

It was SO blatant, and so egregious; even the pre-Bari Weiss CBS Evening News did a story on the targeting and surveillance of journalist James Rosen.

Gosh – and that was for a president who had maybe six press conferences the entire four years, but they sure were cozy, weren’t they?

Every time Trump opens his mouth, it runs for over an hour, and these people are still not happy, looking for somewhere to slip the shiv at every opportunity.

Trump had enough and booted the three, who are filing a lawsuit.

As someone points out in the comments, what does this really change, other than Kaitlan Collins not getting to interrupt Trump as she always seems to? Were they to go with Trump to the U.N. for his speech there, they wouldn’t have covered it.

So CNN and all their media buddies got together to boycott the White House.

CBS’s Weija Jiang says that the White House ‘pool’ footage is all from infrastructure built up by the five networks, so there won’t be any cameras following the president as he heads to the UN, for instance.

It sounds as though the White House, being the way they are before they start a seemingly spontaneous fight, may have something up their sleeve.

One analyst is saying this is a media temper tantrum over the White House proving they could consciously decouple from the mainstream feeds, which throws all of their information manipulation into turmoil.

…The networks are not walking out to protest press freedom. They are walking out because the White House just demonstrated that it can functionally decouple the presidency from the legacy media distribution pipeline, and if that decoupling holds  if the President can reach the American people directly through Starlink-broadcast events, X Spaces, and independent media channels without the pool’s intermediation  then the legacy networks lose the single asset that has kept them relevant through fifteen years of ratings collapse: exclusive access to the presidency as content.

Something You Should Keep In Mind

The 2020 election fraud was not simply state-level ballot manipulation. The fraud’s protective architecture was the media coordination layer. Without ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and Fox actively suppressing stories, redirecting narratives, and manufacturing consensus, the fraud could not have survived public scrutiny for even seven days.

The networks were not passive beneficiaries of the fraud. They were active participants in the cover-up. Specific network executives participated in coordination calls with transition team operatives in November and December 2020. Specific bureau chiefs killed stories that would have exposed irregularities. 

The networks know this. They have known it since late 2020. And their behavior since has been consistent with an institutional strategy of perpetual narrative defense: keep the President framed as delegitimized, keep his supporters framed as threats, keep the fraud narrative suppressed, and above all, maintain the pool system so that no administration can ever again bypass the media filter and speak directly to the country.

Vice President Vance was effortlessly destroying the media sturm und drang over the supposed suppression of their freedoms this morning.

Vance is so damn good at this. Look at how affable he is while hitting CNN, MS NOW, and Politico in the middle of the head with a ball-peen hammer.

…And we all remember these outlets pushing to have Trump blacklisted from social media. We all know these outlets censor Trump’s statements and speeches by refusing to cover them.

We all remember these outlets remaining silent when Biden revoked special White House access for hundreds of media outlets.

And that is the problem with the entire exercise in manufactured constitutional umbrage – we all DO remember.

And we know what we’ve heard since Trump returned to the Oval Office.

And I don’t think there are going to be any mass civilian demonstrations from flyover country with banners calling for ‘Free, Free, CNN!’

It’s going to be especially delightful if those smaller news organizations like Newsmax and OAN, etc, and online outlets pick up tons of the coverage they’ve been locked out of because the big boys have had those seats for years.

No one has an ancestral right to White House press access. We do not have a hereditary media aristocracy with titled perpetual seating rights.

No one is preventing CNN, Politico or the desiccated husk of MSNBC from writing or broadcasting whatever the hell they want.
