Scott Presler, a high-profile voter-registration activist and founder of the Political Action Committee (PAC) Early Vote Action, is setting his sights on New Jersey after playing a pivotal role in helping President-elect Donald Trump secure Pennsylvania in the 2024 election.
Presler believes New Jersey, traditionally a blue state, is now showing strong signs of shifting toward Republican control.
“New Jersey is trending to the right. There’s momentum,” Presler, 36, told The New York Post. “We have already rehired 23 staff. So whereas Republican parties in the past will pack up, go home, not renew contracts, Early Vote Action already right now, in December of 2024, has staff on the ground.”
It’s so gosh darn cold.

Kamala Harris carried New Jersey by only six points in 2024, a significant decline from Joe Biden’s 16-point margin in 2020.
Trump’s performance was the strongest for a Republican presidential candidate in New Jersey since George W. Bush’s reelection in 2004.
Trump flipped several key counties that had voted for Biden in 2020.
These included Gloucester County and Morris County, as well as Passaic County, which Biden had won by more than 16 points in 2020 but had not gone Republican since 1992.
Trump also carried Cumberland and Atlantic counties, marking the first Republican wins there since 1988.
Presler has a detailed strategy to mobilize Republican voters across the Garden State, using a combination of grassroots efforts and high-visibility events.
His team plans to focus on truck stops, gun shows, American Legion halls, and even fraternity and sorority houses.
“You’re going to see us at New Jersey truck stops… at gun shows and gun stores courting Second Amendment voters. You’re going to see us knocking on doors at fraternity houses and sorority houses. You’re going to see us going to American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars halls courting veteran votes. And you’re also going to see us at Wildwood Boardwalk,” Presler explained.

Presler has also promised to attend a December 11 meeting in Edison, NJ, where a city council recently reversed a ban on American flags at meetings. “We will have a presence at the December 11th meeting, peacefully with beautiful American flags, and we’re going to make sure that every single person that attends also registers to vote,” he said.

Early Vote Action, Presler’s PAC, has more than $2.2 million in funding with no outstanding debts, according to Federal Election Commission records.
In August, the PAC received a $1 million donation from Elon Musk, a Trump confidante and co-head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
“I would love for Elon Musk to continue to see the work that Early Vote Action has done,” Presler said. “We delivered the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we delivered a Senate seat. We helped flip House seats from blue to red. And I would argue confidently and also very humbly that our work helped give President Trump the narrow majority in Congress.”
New Jersey’s gubernatorial race in 2025 will serve as the first major test for Republican momentum in the state.

Businessman Jack Ciattarelli, who came within four points of defeating Democratic Governor Phil Murphy in 2021, is the frontrunner for the Republican primary in June.
“Our greatest challenge was the pandemic. It’s not easy to campaign when there’s a shelter-in-place order. We don’t have to contend with that this time around,” Ciattarelli told The Post.
“I really believe New Jersey has always been a purple state. It’s been tough on our Republican presidential nominees, but Donald Trump changed that this past Election Day with his performance,” Ciattarelli added.
While Presler has not officially endorsed Ciattarelli, he expressed a willingness to support the eventual GOP nominee.
Ciattarelli is optimistic about Presler’s impact. “Scott’s going to be in an excellent position to take a great many voters and register them Republican,” he said.
With Presler’s Early Vote Action already deploying resources and staff in New Jersey, the Garden State could become a battleground for Republican gains in the years ahead.
As Presler’s grassroots strategy takes shape, the GOP is poised to build on Trump’s recent success in this historically Democratic stronghold.
