U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi responded Sunday to a “Saturday Night Live” sketch that featured actress Amy Poehler parodying her appearance at a recent Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing, as reported by The New York Post.

Poehler, who hosted Saturday’s episode, appeared in the show’s cold open as Bondi, introducing herself with the line: “My name is Pam Bondi. I spell it with an ‘i,’ because I ain’t gonna answer any of your questions.”

Continuing the portrayal, Poehler’s character added, “My time is valuable. The DOJ has many ongoing operations, and we’re moving like Kash Patel’s eyeballs — very quickly in multiple directions at once.”

During the segment, Poehler was joined by her former SNL castmate Tina Fey, who played Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Fey appeared holding a prop AR-15 rifle and introduced herself by saying, “That’s right. It’s me, Kristi Noem. I spell my name with an ‘i’ because that’s how I thought it was spelled. And I’m the rarest type of person in Washington, D.C.: a brunette that Donald Trump listens to.”

The parody centered on Bondi’s firm demeanor during her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, where she fielded questions about ongoing Department of Justice operations.

Despite being the focus of the sketch, Bondi appeared to take the parody in stride. On Sunday morning, she posted a lighthearted response on X, tagging Secretary Noem in her message.

“@Sec_Noem, should we recreate this picture in Chicago? Loving Amy Poehler!” Bondi wrote.

When asked by Fox News Digital about the parody, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin commented, “SNL is absolutely right — the Democrats’ shutdown does need to end!”

The sketch, which opened the show’s 51st season, marked another instance of Saturday Night Live lampooning members of President Donald Trump’s administration.

The Department of Homeland Security also joined in saying: “Thanks for the free advertisement @NBCSNL Get Criminals Out. Make History. Save America.”

Over the years, the show has repeatedly featured impersonations of Trump and his cabinet officials, often drawing sharp reactions from the White House.

However, this time the president made no comment on the season premiere, which also included a brief portrayal of him by cast member James Austin Johnson.

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson also brushed off the segment in a statement after the episode aired. “Reacting to this would require me to waste my time watching it,” Jackson said.

“And like the millions of Americans who have tuned out from SNL, I have more entertaining things to do — like watch paint dry.”

The SNL episode drew moderate ratings for its return, but social media reactions were mixed, with both Bondi’s response and Jackson’s remarks circulating widely online.urther attention.
