Another airline incident is making headlines—and not for the right reasons.
A 33-year-old male passenger aboard SWISS Air Flight LX918 took “unruly” to a whole new level after allegedly engaging in a lewd act mid-flight, leaving female passengers disturbed and demanding action, as reported by The Daily Mail.
The flight, which departed from Zurich, Switzerland and was headed to Dresden, Germany on Monday morning, was just under halfway through its 73-minute journey when chaos broke out in the cabin.
Elon Musk Called This Financial News ‘Terrifying’
According to Swiss media outlet Blick, a concerned female passenger approached a flight attendant around 7:40 a.m., visibly shaken after witnessing the man with his hands down his pants.
Rather than deal with the indecency quietly, she demanded her seat be changed immediately. Flight crew confronted the man and issued a warning, but it reportedly took several tries before he finally stopped.
When the plane landed in Dresden, Federal Police didn’t waste any time. The man, a German national, was taken into custody and is now under investigation for causing a public nuisance.

But in a twist that’s hard to stomach, the suspect admitted to police that he was “active” during the flight but claimed ignorance of any wrongdoing—saying he never actually exposed himself.

Police described the incident as one that “exceeded the bounds of good behaviour.” That’s putting it lightly. A SWISS spokesperson confirmed, “A passenger engaged in intimate acts during the flight, whereupon the crew issued a warning.”
And this isn’t the first embarrassing scandal for the airline. Just a few months ago, SWISS was caught in another storm when video footage leaked of a couple engaged in a sex act in the galley of a long-haul flight from Bangkok to Zurich.
The video, recorded on cockpit-controlled surveillance cameras, was reportedly filmed and later leaked by flight crew—prompting backlash and a full investigation into crew conduct and passenger privacy violations.

At the time, SWISS admitted crew members should have “intervened directly” instead of recording and distributing the footage. So far, no word on what disciplinary action was taken, if any.
It seems SWISS Air is developing a reputation that’s not exactly soaring. Between scandalous in-flight activities and the crew’s questionable judgment, passengers may want to think twice before booking a seat with them.
