Trump’s Sovereign Wealth Fund: What Could It Mean For Your Money?
Trump weighed in on the ad via a post on Truth Social, calling it the “HOTTEST” ad currently running.
The campaign, which features Sweeney posing in denim with the tagline “great jeans,” sparked backlash from left-wing commentators, some of whom attempted to frame the campaign as politically charged. Trump’s post directly addressed that controversy.
“Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there,” Trump wrote. “It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves.’ Go get ‘em Sydney!”

He cited Jaguar and its recent ad campaign, which he labeled “seriously WOKE,” adding that the campaign had resulted in the resignation of the company’s CEO and what he called “absolute turmoil” for the brand.
“Who wants to buy a Jaguar after looking at that disgraceful ad?” Trump asked. “Shouldn’t they have learned a lesson from Bud Light, which went Woke and essentially destroyed, in a short campaign, the Company?”
He continued by referencing the financial collapse of Bud Light following its 2023 marketing controversy, stating that the company suffered “market cap destruction” with “BILLIONS OF DOLLARS SO FOOLISHLY LOST.”
Trump also revisited his criticism of singer Taylor Swift, saying that she was “booed out of the Super Bowl” and has become “NO LONGER HOT.” He concluded his message by stating, “Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be.”
Sweeney has not publicly commented on either the ad backlash or Trump’s endorsement.
The market’s response to Trump’s post was immediate, with American Eagle’s stock climbing 20% by the close of trading Monday.
