John Paul Mitchell Systems, a leading manufacturer of professional hair care products and tools, will move its corporate headquarters from California to Dallas, Texas.

The relocation includes the establishment of a new global distribution center and is expected to generate new employment opportunities and capital investment in the state.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the relocation in a press release on Thursday, stating that the move would result in the creation of 80 jobs and bring over $12 million in capital investment to the Dallas area.

“Texas is the headquarters of headquarters,” Abbott said.

“With our skilled and growing workforce, leading position in U.S. and global markets, and the strongest pro-growth economic policies in America, we will continue to attract more headquarters and create more jobs across our great state.”

Governor @GregAbbott_TX announced John Paul Mitchell Systems will expand their corporate headquarters from California to Dallas County and establish a global product distribution center.

This will create more than $12 million in capital investment.

The company, known for brands such as Paul Mitchell, Tea Tree, and Neuro, distributes products to more than 30 countries worldwide.

As part of the relocation package, John Paul Mitchell Systems will receive a Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant of $640,000.

The TEF program is designed to support business projects that result in high-paying job creation and substantial capital investment in Texas.

In addition to the TEF award, the company was extended an $8,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus as part of the relocation agreement.

John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of John Paul Mitchell Systems, commented on the move in a statement released by the Governor’s Office.

“I’m honored that John Paul Mitchell Systems was selected as a grant recipient through the Texas Enterprise Fund, enabling us to establish a major facility in Texas to serve U.S. and global markets,” DeJoria stated.

“I’ve resided in Austin for 25 years and have the privilege of being deeply involved with the community — I know this initiative plays a key role in encouraging businesses like ours to invest in the local economy.”

The decision by John Paul Mitchell Systems to relocate to Texas follows a growing trend among major corporations.

Within the past year, several companies—including Chevron, X and SpaceX, and Kentucky Fried Chicken—have announced plans to move their headquarters to Texas.

In March, Nasdaq announced that it would be opening a regional headquarters in Dallas as part of its strategic expansion into Texas and the broader Southeastern United States.

Texas officials have continued to promote the state as a prime destination for businesses looking to relocate or expand.

The Texas Enterprise Fund has played a central role in these efforts by providing incentives for companies that commit to job creation and capital investment.

John Paul Mitchell Systems was founded in 1980 and is known for its salon-quality hair products and educational programs for stylists.

With the new headquarters and distribution center in Dallas, the company will further expand its presence in the U.S. market while continuing to serve its international customer base.
