The event, held less than two weeks before the election, has sparked widespread discussion about Harris’s performance, particularly her lack of focus on her own policy agenda and her heavy emphasis on her opponent, former President Donald Trump.

CNN host Dana Bash shared her concerns on air, saying that while Harris’s personality may have come through during the town hall, she did not successfully address her legislative priorities. “If her goal was to close the deal, they’re not sure she did that,” Bash said.

She noted that Harris failed to clearly name any specific policy or legislative priority, which left voters uncertain about her plans if elected.

Jake Tapper, another CNN host, also weighed in, pointing out that Harris seemed to focus more on criticizing Trump than on outlining her own policies. “She focused a lot more on Donald Trump…than she did on many specifics in terms of what she would do as president,” Tapper said.

He added that while Harris did briefly discuss plans for small businesses, her overall approach left undecided voters with little clarity on her future agenda.

The town hall, moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper, featured tough questions from voters who expressed concerns about Harris’s nearly four years in office.

Cooper directly asked Harris why certain promises, such as securing the border and lowering grocery prices, hadn’t been fulfilled during her time as vice president.

In response, Harris offered a vague explanation, saying, “I’m pointing out things that need to be done that haven’t been done that need to be done,” a statement that has drawn further criticism for its lack of substance.

The town hall performance has been met with backlash from political analysts, including former Trump campaign advisor and Republican strategist David Urban.

Urban criticized Harris’s response to Cooper’s questions, calling her remarks a “mind-boggling word salad.”

He noted that her failure to address concerns about her time in office has led to widespread negative reactions online.

Harris’s performance during the town hall has raised doubts about her ability to win over undecided voters as the election approaches.

While she has frequently promised to address key issues like border security and the economy, many voters remain unconvinced that she will deliver on those promises based on her tenure as vice president.

With just days remaining until the election, both Harris and Trump are working to sway undecided voters in key battleground states.

Whether the town hall will impact voter turnout or change the trajectory of the race remains to be seen, but Harris’s performance has undoubtedly raised questions about her ability to articulate a clear policy agenda moving forward.
