The View is, believe it or not, the #1-rated daytime talk show in America. That’s why ABC keeps it on the air despite the fact that they have to put out legal notices about lies as often as Iran’s leaders chant “Death to America!”
And that’s why we continue to write about it. It’s just that it’s fun to ridicule the harridans, although it is, but because it reflects the values and interests of millions of American women.
Know thy enemy, and all that. One of the reasons why Democrats keep getting worse at pushing their propaganda is that they refuse to leave their bubbles. It’s much more difficult for conservatives to do that, given that almost every news outlet in America is dominated by liberals.
The View has a very specific audience to which it appeals: affluent, white, female liberals, who also happen to be the people who have been successfully taking over the Human Resources departments in most major corporations and institutions. They dominate the nonprofit sphere, and are a major force at other cultural institutions.
Think of Disney–watch the videos of all the women who are pushing DEI into everything they do. Kathleen Kennedy, the author of Star Wars’ destruction, is your prototypical AWFL.
In other words, AWFLs matter a lot, even though they are unappealing to most people. They occupy a critical point in our economic and cultural landscape.
They are an ignorant and hateful lot, the AWFLs. Joy Behar is dumb enough to think that the fact Trump shares his birthday with the founding of the US Army is part of a conspiracy.
The View’s Sara Haines HATES America’s troops. She says they’re going tot look like Nazis and North Koreans marching through DC:

Anna Navarro is so ignorant that she believes that the United States has never held a military parade. No doubt she idolizes JFK, whose inauguration parade included a display of military might.
Navarro falsely claims America has “never” ever held a military parade:

Apparently, this makes JFK similar to Kim Jong Un or Xi Jinping.
Deploying the National Guard, as Eisenhower did to integrate public schools and as recent presidents have when there is civil unrest is “militarizing” our cities. They would prefer that the Democratic Party Brownshirts owned America’s streets.
Fake conservative and former Pentagon press staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin suggests the troops marching in DC will resemble those seen “on the streets of Moscow or on the streets in North Korea” and not the “pro-democracy demonstration” in France.

It’s all propaganda, but it works with a certain segment of the population.
I have long believed that one of the key reasons the left has worked so assiduously to infiltrate our public schools and to make Americans historically illiterate is to make this propaganda more effective. Ignorant and credulous people are much more likely to swallow this idiocy.
Coon seems to have more than a couple screws loose. Repeatedly though out their conversation she’s hinted at being a prepper and fears an imminent apocalypse. pic.twitter.com/ZYEetHIuH3

Ignorance and induced neuroticism–induced by a steady drumbeat of propaganda intended to short-circuit the rational faculties–combine to make shows like The View effective with a key demographic. By no means are they are majority, even of women, but they can swing policies and attitudes because they occupy important positions of influence in society.
They are also more likely to get in people’s faces. It’s the “Karen” factor. Nobody wants to cross them.
I do think that they have had their moment in the sun, though. Enough people are tired of being bullied that their influence is waning. It could just be that the last decade has been the high point of their influence.
Let’s hope so.
