The Biden administration’s reckless border policies have once again put American lives at risk, as only eight out of more than 100 migrants with suspected ISIS ties were locked up or deported after illegally crossing into the U.S.
That’s the shocking revelation from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who exposed the alarming failure during a border visit on Wednesday, as The New York Post reported.
Now, the Trump administration is being forced to clean up the mess, working to track down the terror-linked migrants who were set loose under Biden’s watch.

Gabbard joined Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth at Eagle Pass, Texas, where they detailed the catastrophe left behind by the previous administration.
Gabbard revealed that the migrants in question hail from Central Asian nations known for ISIS recruitment. They were linked to an ISIS-affiliated smuggling network—and yet, the Biden team did next to nothing about it.
Even more disturbing, federal officials knew that over 4,000 migrants had used ISIS-linked smugglers to cross the border, and that hundreds were identified as terrorists or associates of known terrorists.

But instead of taking swift action, the Biden administration allowed nearly all of them to roam free. She stated that when she took over, she found that only eight of those migrants had either been deported or remained in custody.
Gabbard slammed the previous administration for its failure to protect the homeland:
“That information was provided to the Biden Administration. You may remember in some of the news a little over one hundred of those people were arrested in 2024. Of those who were arrested, only eight were either deported or remained in custody.”
Then came the chilling question: Where are the rest?
“Only eight, the rest of them were released back into our country. Where are they? What are they doing? What may they be plotting? This is just the beginning.”
While Biden and his team ignored national security threats, President Trump’s leadership is already reversing the damage.
During their visit, Vance praised Trump’s rapid action to secure the border, noting that illegal crossings are now at their lowest levels in recorded history.

Eagle Pass, once a hotspot for unchecked migration, has seen daily crossings plummet from 1,500 to just 30—all without new laws or endless D.C. debates.
“It turns out we didn’t need new laws, we didn’t need fancy legislation, we just needed a new president of the United States,” Vance declared.
Hegseth agreed but made it clear: there’s still work to do. He emphasized the administration’s commitment to achieving full “operational control” over the border, ensuring that the disastrous policies of the past never return.
While Biden’s failures left America vulnerable, Trump’s leadership is restoring law and order. But with ISIS-linked migrants still unaccounted for, the question remains: How much danger did the last administration leave behind?
