Disney’s latest attempt at reimagining a classic fairy tale has ignited another wave of criticism following the release of the Christmas Day teaser for its live-action remake of Snow White, as reported by Breitbart.
Despite the holiday cheer, viewers weren’t feeling generous toward the preview, which has been met with overwhelming dislike ratios on YouTube and sharp criticism from all sides.

The teaser, featuring lead actress Rachel Zegler performing a song titled “Waiting on a Wish,” quickly racked up nearly 25,000 dislikes compared to just 3,500 likes from its 190,000 views.
Comments ranged from scathing to outright dismissive, with one user bluntly stating, “I only wish for this movie to be buried and forgotten or erased completely.”
Another comment lamented Disney’s trajectory, saying, “The more you promote this, the more you make older generations hate Disney in general.”
A frustrated parent added, “Good Luck! My children will not watch this.”
Adding insult to injury, many viewers have declared their support for Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen, over Zegler’s Snow White.
One commenter cheekily proposed an alternate ending: “The Queen and the Prince lived happily ever after.”
Another chimed in, “The people have spoken. Gal for the win! Double the dose on the apple.”
This backlash isn’t new. Since its conception, the film has faced criticism over its “reimagining” of the Seven Dwarfs as a diverse group, with only one actor having dwarfism.
The cast of the new Snow White movie. These are the dwarfs. Well. No. This is 1 dwarf, 4 regular size men, 1 regular size girl and a tall woman. This is ridiculous. They said it was for “inclusiveness.” I won’t be seeing this movie either. They ruin everything. pic.twitter.com/B0rS1XcD8O

When images of the cast first surfaced, Disney initially dismissed them as fake but later confirmed their authenticity.
Rachel Zegler herself has proven to be a polarizing figure, with her past statements further alienating potential audiences.
In a series of inflammatory remarks, she labeled the original Snow White film as misogynistic and unapologetically championed her remake as a “woke” and feminist version.
Beyond that, Zegler’s political commentary has raised eyebrows, including her incendiary post-election Instagram tirade against Donald Trump and his voters, where she proclaimed, “May Trump supporters and Trump voters and Trump himself never know peace.”
Her controversies didn’t end there. In August, while promoting the film, Zegler waded into Middle Eastern politics, declaring “Free Palestine” on social media, further alienating audiences already skeptical of the film.
Disney, which has reportedly poured over $400 million into the project, may be facing one of its biggest box office flops. Industry analysts predict the film will need to gross over $600 million just to break even, an uphill battle given the relentless negative press and fan dissatisfaction.
If Disney hoped to breathe new life into its classic catalog, Snow White appears to be doing the opposite—casting a dark shadow over its live-action ambitions and Zegler’s career prospects.
