Bill Maher Shreds Dem Rep Jasmine Crockett’s Profanity-Laced Meltdown [WATCH]

HBO’s Real Time host Bill Maher took aim at Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) over her reaction to President Trump’s address to Congress, saying her comments resembled those of a “podcaster” rather than a political leader.

Crockett made headlines this week for her blunt remarks following Trump’s speech, which she harshly criticized.

“This is not America. This is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the f**k up because I’m ready to get on with it,” Crockett said.

Maher, a liberal commentator often critical of both parties, was unimpressed with Crockett’s tone and choice of words.

“And here’s Jasmine Crockett, who is, I thought, a big leader in the Democratic Party. Her quote is, ‘This is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the f**k up because I’m ready to get on with it.’ On with what, would be my first question,” Maher said.

“And also, this is the way a leader—this is how a podcaster talks or some s—. ‘F**k it, man.’ Can you imagine, I don’t know, Obama saying, ‘Oh, man, dude. This sh*t is whack. F**k it. Slap me. I’m f-**king over it.’ C’mon man,” he continued.

Maher also backed Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), who called out fellow Democrats over their behavior during Trump’s address, describing it as a “sad cavalcade of self-owns and unhinged petulance.”

During his monologue, Maher also took aim at Rep. Al Green (D-TX), whom he referred to as “the cane dude,” and mocked Democratic lawmakers for wearing what he described as the “pu**y hat uniform” while holding paddles as if they were at an “auction.”

Maher then urged Democrats to present themselves as a credible alternative to Trump.

“You can’t do anything because you lost the election, you lost all three branches of government, okay?” Maher said.

“The only thing you can do is be somebody—a party who, when the independent voter looks at the scene, says, ‘Oh, you know what? I don’t like what Trump is doing, but these people are crazier.’”

He also took issue with The New York Times for suggesting that Democrats were divided between resisting Trump or appealing to the center of the electorate.

“It’s not an ‘or,’” Maher said. “That is how you stand up to Trump! You court the center! You go to the place where people are going to vote for you!”

Maher’s comments come at a time when Democrats are grappling with internal divisions and struggling to present a united front in opposition to Trump’s policies.

His remarks add to the ongoing debate about the party’s messaging and strategy heading into the next election cycle.
